The manager was extremely rude. We arrived at 9:10 and were told it would be an hour and a half wait for our order. The place wasn’t even that full so we said okay we will wait. The manager acted like that was a problem, but let us in anyway. We waited in line. No big deal. Got to the cash register and the cashier greeted us with “you know it will be an hour and half wait?” No hello, how are you? Nothing. When we said we are good with the wait, she practically rolled her eyes at us. We placed our order and sat down. While we were waiting, we watched the man in the photo below go up to every customer that walked in and told them about the wait. At least 20 people walked away because of him. It’s only about 9:30 at this time. I tried to tell some of the customers he was just a patron, harassing the customers. A group of 5 people decided to stay despite being harassed by this regular customer. They were the only ones standing at the cash register and they were made to stand there for at least 5 minutes. The rude cashier comes out and says “we close in 15 minutes.” She explained she would take their order, but she obviously didn’t want to. The party left very mad. While we continued to wait, we watched the man beat the customers to the door and tell them not to come in. So all the people left. Meanwhile, the manager and cashier left and were never to be seen the rest of the time except to cry and be consoled by the man. I don’t think he should be behind the counter like he was, but he was allowed to be. Meanwhile, the three other workers were working their hardest and getting the milkshakes out very quickly. The manager came back in at 9:58, got her a cup of ice cream, and came over to talk to “The Yard Milkshake Bar Bouncer”. She informed him and the people around him that the owner always has excuses for not being here (right now because his girlfriend has kidney stones). The manager and the bouncer continued to grip and complain about how busy they have been and how the customers have been rude. After that was said and done, she proceeded to get him a cup of ice cream and it was free!! The whole situation was very unprofessional and gave me a horrible taste for this location in particular. On the bright side, we only waited 50 minutes and everything was delicious. Especially...
Read moreThis is the 3rd time trying to visit the store. Every time we've tried to visit, the hours keep changing. But this time we were able to walk in. Unfortunately, only one lady was working, and there were lots of customers. Of course, she had to split her time between taking and fulfilling orders. However, it was clear she had a negative attitude and she was sick. She wouldn't speak above a whisper, behind a mask, and would periodically cough and sniffle.
We ordered two milkshakes and patiently waited while the lady worked on fulfilling the party of four before us. Somehow, she mistakenly made our milkshakes for the party before us. So we expected to have to wait a little longer for her to correct the mistake. However, she finished taking the party of two behind us and fulfilled their order. Then she went on to fulfill the remaining party of four before us. At this point more customers were filling in, and the entire process is held up by one person who has to split her time between taking and fulfilling orders.
We waited between 30-45 minutes just to find out our milkshakes went to the wrong people. Then, instead of receiving our milkshakes next, the lady made the order of the party of two behind us.
We asked for a refund, and won't be visiting again. The only thing that could have made things worse was if we had had our milkshakes thrown at us. We will warn other people not to visit The Yard for the poor customer service and poor...
Read moreIf you’re looking at the reviews and considering visiting this location, DO NOT. My husband and I visited this location and was greeted with a woman who instantly threw a menu in our hands and told us to “look over it”. We already knew what we wanted and proceeded to walk up to the counter to order and stood in front of two women employees who were on their phones and speaking amongst themselves. One finally decided she would help us while the other one continued sitting on her phone and didn’t offer to assist the other employee at all. The service was rude but the ice cream was worse. I ordered a milkshake and it was basically a cup full of milk. The majority of the ice cream looked as if it had been melted and refrozen. It wasn’t a cleanly atmosphere in the slightest. The employees actions on top of seeing the ice cream honestly made me lose my appetite. I noticed afterwards that I’m not the first person who has had the same treatment and comments. If management looks at this, do better. We visited 09/05 around 5:30. Management should be able to find who was working. People spend their hard earned money here, $35 on my occasion, and the girls working shouldn’t earn a...
