The bottom level of the parking garage was EXTREMELY dirty and was darkly lit. There were dead pigeons and piles of pigeon feces and feathers along the walls, bad potholes, and it smelled HEAVILY of urine. This was not a great first impression of this hotel and it did not feel safe at all.
It was busy as I checked in, because so there was a long line but it moved quickly. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and efficiently handled the check in process. This was probably the most enjoyable part of my two night stay-- the check in process.
Upon entering my room on the 4th floor, it appeared clean and smelled fresh. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were clean. But when I went into the bathroom, two dirty towels were hanging on the back of the door. I also noticed a heavy ring of rust around the tub drain, and what appeared to be either a fake eyelash strip or a dead, dried up centipede stuck to the inside of the tub. Upon further inspection, it was neither an eyelash strip or a centipede (thank goodness!) but was a gouge in the tub enamel that had rusted.
Our three day conference included lunch all three days and breakfast on two mornings. The breakfasts were fine but the lunches were awful. We were served dried up pizzas at one munch, and an Asian inspired lunch that did not include any kind of sauce for the dry chicken and tough beef served. The few employees seen during lunch were friendly, but not exactly helpful. Food kept running out and they were slow to restock. There was no table bussing which was fine, but there was also no obvious bussing station so that we could clear our own tables.
Speaking of the room the main conference was held in, the maintenance of this room was severely lacking. Many of the ceiling tiles were water stained and some were broken and/or not situated properly so you could see inside of the ceiling. It just looked run down.
I visited the pool and hot tub area, which looked clean and well maintained, but the water level was so low in the hot tub that it barely covered the jets so the jets were spraying water up and it was impossible to sit in the hot tub without having water sprayed into your face. This was so disappointing because I really looked forward to relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of sitting through a conference. It would have done me no good to let the staff know because if they added water, it would have taken a while for the water temperature to heat up and it was already in the evening. I just went back to my room, disappointed, and went to bed.
Maintenance in this hotel is clearly an issue and they lacking attention to detail. In the elevators, some numbers do not light up so when the elevator stopped on certain floors, you could not tell what floor it was stopping on. The lights didn't always work outside of the elevator either, so you could not tell if the elevator was on it's way up or down. You could ask the people in the elevator when the doors opened IF there were people in the elevator. I cannot tell you how many times that I rode the elevator up and down several times before arriving on the floor I selected.
About the only cool thing about this hotel is the rotating restaurant at the top, and although I did not eat there, others told me the food they ordered was actually not bad. Thefe was clearly a difference in the quality of food at the restaurant as opposed to what we were served at the lunches. However, the decor in the restaurant is ULTRA outdated and very tacky. It was just surprising to see a Radisson branded hotel that was so outdated and run down!
Overall, this hotel is poorly managed and is not well maintained at all. Based on my stay, I cannot recommend this hotel to my family, friends or colleagues, and I would DEFINITELY not recommend using this hotel for any type of...
Read moreI had high expectations for this hotel and from pictures and outside views - everything seemed to meet up with my expectations. But as soon as I walked through the front door I was severely let down. The representative took a bit to approach us and there was no other way to get his attention other than to yell for service. He seemed extremely uninviting and uneager to get us to our room yet eager enough to get us out of his way. After our rude interaction we were given our keys and we still rushed to the elevator because of excitement and happiness. When we passed the pool (the main thing that attracted us), we had seen that it was closed, yet on the website and booking sites it was still listed as an amenity. Let down, we proceeded into the elevator that was extremely sketchy with torn up carpeted walls and the elevator was dirty (later we found out that we had been guided to the wrong elevator and instead of using the main one we were using the service elevator) . When the doors opened the elevator wasnt even fully level with the floor and we hopped out a bit nervous. When we got to our room we immediately were let down with the "veiw". The hotel lobby and parking garage was empty and yet we were given a window that displayd the street instead of the gorgeous lakeside. Then as we sat down I noticed tears in the furniture, crooked fixtures, the bathroom smelled like cigarettes (non smoking room), paintchips, the toilet was still dirty and had stains, previous guests items were still in the room. When I went down to alert the representative he gave me the same dismissive attitude as before but yet thankfully he helped me obtain a different room. This time I asked for a view, and again with no one in the lobby or without a full parking lot he said that there were absolutely no other rooms with a view available. So I was grateful and hoped back onto the sketchy elevator traveled back up to the top floor, grabbed our stuff and my friends and we went to the new room were we greeted with fewer amenities and more damage. There were holes in the walls, almost all the outlets didnt work, and more feces stains on the toilet bowl. It seems like problems that this hotel had faced were covered up rather than fixed. Eventually, we found our way to the main elevators and used those for the night... however while traveling up in these we were still nervous because of stressed cables. You could hear the cables as we traveled up or down making noise and gave me an uncomfortable feeling. The rooms were disappointing and the hotel was underwhelming for the price...
Read moreNO STARS!!! Dissatisfied does not begin to express my feelings with my recent stay here. This was not the first time I’ve stayed here either, and it is not even close to how nice I remember. First, the restaurant Harbor 360. We waited a good 30 minutes for our waitress to get to us, and about another 20 for our food when it really wasn’t too busy. Food was very disappointing plus it’s very little for how much you pay. Our waitress never checked on us, we had to fill our own waters. Keep in mind there was a table behind us that was also in her section, she just never bothered to take a few more steps to us, but walked past plenty of times. She even told us once we received our check “You guys really got the raw end of the stick today.” If you knew you weren’t taking care of us well you would think someone would do something to make it better but of course not. We aren’t ones to make a scene for management either but looking back, we should have. Now, our hotel stay. When we first checked in I was told the room would be cleaned daily. Last time I stayed the room was cleaned daily. This time, on the second day once we got back to the hotel later in the day, I brought this concern to the front desk, I was told they clean the rooms every 5 days, and that it’s even posted on their website. I urge you to look on every website, it’s stated everywhere that they do housekeeping daily. Well even after requesting my room be cleaned twice, it was refused because, “We clean rooms every 5 days.” They would only offer supplies such as towels, soaps, etc. Makes you wonder how well they actually clean between guests. Considering I was a paying guest in this establishment, I expected my concerns to be taken seriously. I have never stayed in a hotel where they don’t clean every day, nor ever heard of a place not doing so. Maybe don’t provide a do not disturb sign if it’s not going to be cleaned anyways. Again, maybe we should have gotten management involved looking back. We ended up checking out a day early since we were sick of their run around. It was more worth it to us to eat the cost than stay another night! I will not be staying here again because of this whole experience & I’ll be urging people I know not to as well. You can definitely find something WAY better in the...
