My Husband brought my wedding ring here to get soldered together. They quoted us 3 to 4 weeks. After 4 weeks he stopped back in to check on the progress. They said it was not done but would be early the following week. The next week came and it was still not completed. We ended up waiting almost 5 and a half weeks and we had to keep checking on it. They did not call with any updates.

Once my husband got the ring back we noticed that night something was wrong with one of the stones. It did not look like it did when we dropped it off. It was crooked and the back was scratched up. He brought it back the next day. This is when the person who helped him immediately started to get defensive. He kept saying things like " well this must have been your fault. We didn't touch that part of the ring". After a bit of my husband telling him this is not how we left it with them he went to the back to check with his coworker. When he came back he said " well you see what happened was we broke one of the stones while working on it". When they tried to put another stone in it they didn't set it correctly and that's why we noticed. If we did not notice they would have never told us they broke one of our stones. The guy that was helping him kept saying rude comments about the ring and much more that I'm not getting into. Now with having a different stone in the ring that one sparkles different then the others and is noticable when looking at it.

My sister passd away and we found a loose stone in her jewelry box. I know she had diamond studs and this stone was the right size for that but we didn't find an empty post or or lone earring in her jewelry box. A friend of mine who knows jewelry was pretty certain it was real and also my sister was not the kind of woman who would hang on to something if it wasn't valuable. Anyway, I brought it to Security Jewlers (downtown) to look into appraisal and/or possibly designing a setting in memory of my sister. Sandra looked at it and immediately ask where I got it. I told her that it was my late sister's and I wasn't sure why it was loose and wanted to verify it's authenticity (bc why else would my sister hang on to it?). Sandra used a pen thingy to check it but the pen wasn't working properly (it was supposed to light up with an authentic diamond). So she took it to the back of the store to get a second opinion. She was gone for a while and when she came back, she had another staff member with her. They both said it wasn't real and showed me the result on the pen thingy which was working properly now. Sandra gave the stone back to me and I left the store.

However, whatever machine she used in the back of the store to test the stone must have changed the density or something bc the stone no longer matches the measurements we took before bringing it into the shop, it's...
