Staff super outgoing and just perfect .... Two diff people two diff days i was there both times they acualy made me feel good not knowing how to make a copy with there set up. From Michigan, I emailed DPL regarding a 19 century painting related to Sioux Indians playing lacrosse, with the source of the painting credited to DPL. I inquired as to where I can learn more about this painting.

A librarian replied promptly, in less than 24 hours, with loads of information regarding the painting! The librarian provided multiple sources of literature on the piece, and even offered to reach out to some of the authors for more information. Downtown location and the west Duluth location, both are clean and organized. However, what has happened to library etiquette? Yes, ha ave a play area, but have rules for extremely loud and out of control behavior from the children. Also, parents and staff , children who talk in regular voice volume. The library is to go and read, research and have a quite place to read and study. Growing up if we would have acted the way people do now we would have been told to be quiet . if we weren't we would have been asked to leave.
