My wife and I swapped our timeshare for a week's stay here. Upon arrival, our first unpleasant experience would be the significant wait time with elevators. Guests should plan to wait a minimum of 10 mins. There's one set of 4 elevators servicing all 25 floors within the building. Parking garage completes the first 5 floors; public has access to first 3 floors, and Marriott guests are instructed to park on floors 4-5. During check-in, staff advised we would receive one complimentary change of towels & bed sheets, and there would be a $15 charge for each thereafter. Our room did not have washer/dryer (no availability during booking). The additional cost is a tough pill to swallow given the cost of our stay. Also, we became friendly with several guests, and they mentioned they were not advised of the additional charge. Some were Marriott Club Members, but that reasoning shouldn't dictate who is on the hook for the $15 linens cost. I suggest removing the additional cost and slightly increasing the room cost, or charge the linens cost to those guests who choose to have new towels/sheets despite having access to washer/dryer in the room. My wife and I were able to stretch the towels through the 4th day. I requested our complimentary change for full set of towels/sheets, and I was advised there was no complimentary change. The issue was shortly resolved, complimentary was received, but it was noticeable there was miscommunication of policies amongst the staff. We returned to our room after breakfast, and we received our complimentary linens in brown paper bags. Our dirty towels were not removed from the room, and I was not aware it was expected of us to change our own sheets. We expected our full set of complimentary towels to be the same amount that was initially stocked in the room. We were given a full set for two people, so my wife and I had to manage with two large bath towels and several hand towels for the remaining 4 days of our stay. When inquiring about the checkout process, staff informed us we are supposed to place our dirty linens in the hallway for pickup. Dirty linens were placed in the hallway as instructed and remained there through checking out (approximately 20 hours). Perhaps some information was overlooked by staff among initial check-in, but I recommend addressing all pertinent information regarding the stay. There are construction and property upgrades occurring, and all of the materials are stored in the parking garage. I am glad to see the property is undergoing such upgrades and improvements for the guests. However, as our week progressed, the available parking was gradually diminishing on floors 4-5 for Marriott guests. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and provided great views, and the location is prime for guests planning to stay local. Unfortunately, my wife and I do not plan on staying at this location again.

A beautiful facility, BUT not kid friendly. As a mother of 4, 4 and under and during COVID. We had an awful ending to our trip because of this hotel. Any parent knows young kids need activities and stimulation. We picked this hotel because it had a pool and we cannot do the beach with these kiddos. Every day we have gone to the pool in the late morning before naps however today being Friday we had to make a reservation. I called the front desk to ask for a time to go to the pool then was told I had to text because that was the process. Being upset by this lack of customer service I asked to speak to a manager and said its ridiculous you cant help me and that I didnt have time to watch my phone for a text message and frankly couldnt with the kids. I then called Marriott Customer Service and while on hold and well into a 21 minute call got disconnected because my son fell off the couch resulting in a black eye. The pandemic and their handling of their pool reservation system are to blame. There is no customer service and having spent two weeks at another Marriott they have a lot to modify and change. The pandemic does not make hotels jails where we have to fall in line or be reprimanded. Very disappointed in this Marriott. Not a good place to be and cannot wait to leave. The ending to a long trip is being scolded and my child getting injured. Happy endings. From a room persepctive, its nice, parking in the garage takes time to get to the 4th or 5th floor and is a bit too many turns, kitchens have all the supplies, beach chairs are not included so for two chairs and an umbrella it adds $45 a day not that we did this with the kids. That could be improved. Pool is okay, small and not the most kid friendly. During COVID, things are fine, face coverings, one family per elevator and distancing. Its in a good location.

Unless you’re an owner, be prepared for a subpar experience. We’ve visited this property several times over the years. Each year, I give the benefit of the doubt, only to be disappointed. The two bedroom, oceanfront villas are reserved for OWNERS only. If you’re not an owner, prepare yourself for this view (see photos). There is construction at the intercoastal, so you’ll hear knocking, drilling, hammering ALL DAY in your villa, starting at 8AM. I paid $2000, 5 days for this view & construction noise. Slow, is an understatement when describing the elevators. You’ll wait at least 15-20 minutes for an elevator. When we checked out, we waited over 25 minutes for an elevator. I was almost tempted to take luggage down using the stairs - 12 floors. Maintenance and housekeeping will completely ignore the DO NOT DISTURB sign hanging from your doorknob. Maintenance knocked and rang the doorbell repeatedly before 9:30 AM one morning. They wanted to change the air filters on our 2nd day. If it was that urgent, that work should have completed before we checked in. Oh, if you’re not an owner, be prepared for your villa telephone to start ringing at 9AM with sales calls. If you don’t answer your villa telephone, they’ll start harassing you via cellphone. I received NINE calls one day. Between the villa phone and my cellphone. The pool is too small to accommodate the guests. The pool needs to be treated more frequently. The water will probably be murky by this time next week. On a better note, the beds are comfortable. The villas are spacious. The resort activities were fun. Great location. NOTE: Oceana Palms on Singer Island is a better MVC option for the south Florida area. But, you have to book far in advance!! Unfortunately, they were booked during my travel dates..I tried booking 6 months out..

I’m disabled and getting in and out is very hard. If you use rideshare or need to order ubereats/doordash they can never figure out how to get to you as there’s no real easy entrance. It will always direct them to outside the public parking. The front desk will tell you to tell them to come in and find the Marriott elevators. I know personally from taking an uber in that there are multiple elevators and only one behind doors with a card key go to the Marriott hotel, unfortunately. If you’re disabled, you will want a wheelchair and someone to push you. It’s a bit of a strain to get to the lobby and wait in line with luggage and up to your room at times. I needed a room by the hotel because I can’t walk far and I got one far from it, on the river side I didn’t choose, next to a major road that you can hear day and night. The ocean view side though, I was told you hear the live bands until pretty late and it is LOUD. Which I believe because it is loud. Room service only came once every other day which meant on my 4 night, 5 day stay, they only technically came one time. There’s no room service. The pool is nice and it overlooks the ocean, which is the perk to the hotel. The restaurants around are decent for bar food. There is a decent seafood restaurant a few blocks down but I hurt myself trying to get there. My disability worsened right before my trip and I couldn’t get it refunded so I came to just lay in the sun and escape the cold. But it was pretty loud. I was also told the construction would be done on the day I check in or the day after. It was still going and I woke up to Jack hammers early in the morning for many hours. That was on the ocean/pool side and it woke us up on the other side, for better understanding of how late it was. I was grateful for the timeshare sales team for allowing me to cancel my tour for a timeshare as I was physically incapable. That was incredible of them to accommodate. I didn’t know how I was going to do it. If you want groceries or anything and need to order them in, there’s a good chance, they won’t be able to find you. The public parking says $10 up to 30 minutes but Marriott says they have 15 minutes free but because it doesn’t say that, they usually won’t come in. And it’s not an easy feat finding your way out to them. I promise. I think location wise, it’s a little bit difficult as it should be easy to access the building and loud. I was here looking to purchase a condo but I just can’t reason with wanting one in this location, unfortunately. The beach was lovely but gets very busy/packed so heads-up. So does the pool during the day when the sun is out. They had a DJ out there on Saturday morning and it was pretty cool. I’m trying to go through the pros and cons because...

I stayed here for two nights earlier this week. I extensively read all of the reviews. First and foremost, I didn't get bit by any bed bugs. I definitely inspected the bed & the surrounding areas as well as the couch. I saw no evidence of bugs in my room. But as a precaution, I did not place any of my belongings on the bed, the couch, or the ground. I kept all of my stuff up on the hard surfaced table, just in case. I personally did not have an issue with the elevators. I felt like they came rather quickly with the exception of one time and it was just a matter of minutes I was waiting before one came. I know out of the four elevators one was being held for construction workers to use only. They're definitely was construction in and around the hotel. I'm an early riser, so any noise that was heard didn't bother me at all. Not only was the actual hotel under construction, a lot of hotels in the surrounding area are as well. So if you are a light sleeper that is something you might want to consider. This place is super accessible. If you need something, it's within walking distance or a short ride away. You have plenty of options to choose from, no matter what it is you're looking for. The CVS is 24/7, which is great for last minute stuff. The policy on having to pay for towel changes is very insane. I'm only one person, and I only stayed for two nights. Luckily I did not exceed the four sets they put in my room. I think it's wild to charge any guest staying at your hotel for clean towels. Truly criminal. I was very shocked and appalled that there were no bottles of water in the hotel room at all. The 10:00 a.m. check out is very inconsiderate. To be honest I've never experienced such an early check out and I stay in hotels quite a bit. When I first requested late checkout I was told that it was something to be talked about later in my stay. That was upon arrival. The next day I called down and asked if there was late check out available and I was told there was not. The night before I checked out I went down to the desk and asked the gentleman if there was a check out available and he said absolutely. I think it's funny how I was being told there was no late check out until I actually went and spoke to a person face-to-face. I was disappointed that late checkout only gained me 1 hour. Otherwise I have no complaints about the room itself. What I do appreciate the most about my stay is the outlook lounge. I had quite a bit of time between checkout and the time I needed to be to the airport. I really did not want to sit in the filthy airport for hours. This lounge was comfortable, clean, and quiet. Much better than the nasty airport. Would I stay here again? I wouldn't be opposed to it but I might not be my...
