Where do I begin? First of all, the owners Chris and Justin are some of the nicest people I’ve ever encountered in my life. I was looking for a place to book a large table of 10 for brunch over the weekend for my dad’s birthday. I had heard of Archibald’s the bakery (never been) and so randomly called them and asked if that was something they could accommodate. They said no, they’re a small bakery that only takes walk-ins - but gave me the owner Chris’s email. I shot Chris an email, expecting this to be a dead end. To my surprise, he immediately responded and offered to accommodate us at the Royal Palms hotel - where they serve brunch on the weekends. We sent about a dozen emails back and forth from there, where he asked questions (such as allergies, other preferences) - so so thoughtful. We showed up - me with my 9 picky family members, including several small children - and were completely overwhelmed at how much Chris had done to accommodate us. The restaurant was poolside at an adorable boutique hotel, where Chris had setup a private cabana for us and a beautiful table right next to it, it looked like something for a wedding brunch. All of this at no extra charge. The entire meal was very reasonable, actually. Chris even said he brought in an extra server just to make sure we were accommodated. All of this was so above and beyond, and I haven’t even gotten to the best part… THE FOOD.
The cinnamon rolls were the star of the show. One of the best things I’ve ever eaten in my life. And I’m not even into that sort of thing it was just that mindblowingly good. The scones were insane. I’ve never liked a scone before, but these ones were something else. The pancakes were the best I've ever had. Impossibly fluffy and buttery. The jam on the side was insanely fresh. The chef, Justin, is an incredibly talented guy. And so so sweet - he came out to talk to us and I felt so honored we were getting all this special attention! Chris and Justin are not only an incredibly talented chef and restauranteur, they’re incredible PEOPLE. Truly words can’t describe how touched I am by how wonderful they were to me and my family that day. We can’t wait to go back and enjoy...
Read moreI don’t think I’ve ever had a better experience at a bakery. My boyfriend and I are visiting from Virginia and we were excited to try this highly rated place. We came on a rainy Thursday with the goal of getting a latte and whatever looked good in the display case. We ended up ordering the iced cinnamon roll latte, a key lime tart, and a raspberry muffin.
Ice cinnamon roll latte: love the depth of flavor from the coffee without having the burnt after taste. It’s definitely worth going back for another drink!
Key lime tart: this was in the refrigerator display, I don’t know if they have it every day. I wish there was more of the key lime custard because it was so lovely and tart. It was still delicious and a well balanced pastry.
Raspberry muffin: the BEST muffin I’ve ever had. Normally I don’t care for muffins, but this one was an exception. It was light and fluffy and not too sweet. The raspberries naturally sweetened the muffin and there were loads of it. The issue with muffins is that they can be dense from the water in fruit, so they nailed it with this one. It was so good we had to go for seconds, which was when the manager Nick offered us a complementary morning glory loaf!
Bonus - a free morning glory loaf: thanks to Nick and his hospitality, we had the opportunity to try another bakery item. This loaf was light and not too sweet (which for me is a huge bonus, I hate waking up with a sugar rush) and well balanced with the nuts and fruits inside.
The whole experience was a 10/10 from the chill atmosphere, delicious food, and the generous hospitality. It’s going to be sad when we leave at the end of the week, and we wish we visited sooner in our trip (especially for the famous cinnamon rolls only sold on Saturday/Sundays). Definitely stop by this bakery if you’re in the area, it’s walkable from the beach and worth putting on...

From the moment you step inside, the inviting aroma of freshly baked sweet treats greets you. The bakery’s cozy atmosphere adds to the appeal, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy your morning coffee (which is far more enjoyable than any coffee shop in the area) with an amazing treat.
The selection is truly impressive. Their croissants are flaky and buttery, rivaling any you’d find in Paris. Their cookies, especially the chocolate chip, are just the right balance of chewy and crisp, and their scones are moist, flavorful, and beautifully decorated.
Whether you’re looking for a sweet treat to enjoy on the spot or something to take home, Archibald’s has something for every palate.
The staff is friendly and welcoming, always happy to offer recommendations or chat about the latest seasonal specials. The bakery’s charm is matched only by the quality of the products, making it a local favorite and a must-try for visitors to the area.
