⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 Experience – Wild Thyme, Las Olas, Fort Lauderdale
My family and I celebrated my grandmother’s 62nd birthday at Wild Thyme on October 25, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience from start to finish! Everything — the food, the atmosphere, and especially the service — was beyond amazing.
From the moment we arrived, Jill (the hostess) set the tone for the night. She greeted us warmly, made sure everything was perfect, and checked on us throughout the evening. Her professionalism and positive spirit made us feel so welcome — like we were part of the Wild Thyme family.
Our waitress, Anna, was phenomenal! Her attentiveness, patience, and genuine kindness stood out in every interaction. She had excellent recommendations, perfect timing, and made sure my grandmother’s celebration felt truly special. Anna’s bright personality made the whole table feel happy and cared for.
Mark, the manager, also deserves so much credit. He checked on us multiple times and made sure everything went smoothly. His leadership and pride in his team were so clear — it’s easy to see why this location runs so well!
Elysee and Jeannot were both outstanding! They went above and beyond all night — helping serve dishes, refilling drinks, and ensuring we had everything we needed. Their teamwork, professionalism, and warm energy made us feel celebrated in every way.
The food was incredible — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. We enjoyed the catch of the day, mussels, calamari, and the house bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Every bite was perfect. The drinks were delicious too — the bartender clearly knows their craft!
The highlight of the evening was the surprise bread pudding dessert with “Happy 62nd Birthday Jackie” written across the plate. The whole staff came out to sing Happy Birthday — their energy and smiles made my grandmother’s night so special.
Between the amazing service, breathtaking views of Fort Lauderdale Beach, and unforgettable food, this was easily a 10/10 experience.
Corporate — please take note: the team at Wild Thyme Las Olas — Jill, Anna, Mark, Elysee, and Jeannot — truly set the standard for exceptional hospitality. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care deserve recognition and appreciation.
Thank you all for making our family celebration one we’ll...
Read moreI saw somebody in a Facebook group post the brunch board with rave reviews so I had to go! I made reservations for an early Sunday brunch. We arrived a little before our reservation and were promptly seated. The hostess was friendly and attentive. We knew what we came for- board for 2 and bottomless mimosas. The mimosas were good and a mini carafe was brought out with our first round. My critique would be that sitting outside the carafe can get warm if you're not chugging down mimosas so an ice bucket would have been a nice touch. Now for the board- it is Instagram worthy and undeniably a lot of food but somewhat disappointing in execution. I don't eat red meat or pork so my husband had the bacon, sausage, and burger sliders to himself. He said the sliders were pretty bad. The bacon and sausage were good. I picked the ham off the eggs Benedict and doctored it with salt and pepper- it was ok. The homestyle potatoes were delicious BUT the biggest mistake was that there was no care given on the placement of the board and they were touching a lot of the sweet fruit we were given. The fruit was insanely sweet and delicious but then when you got a piece with potato seasoning on it... YUCK! The pancakes were good as were the French toast pieces. I would give the board a 5/10. Service was really on point and hopefully the kitchen can catch up- at least where what seems to be the most ordered/pictured item...
Read moreWe had dinner at Wild Thyme last night as part of the Dine Out Fort Lauderdale promotion. The restaurant was fairly quiet for a Sunday evening, which we actually appreciated — my husband and I enjoy a more peaceful dining atmosphere. The space was clean, and the staff were friendly, professional, and helpful with menu recommendations.
For appetizers, we tried the shrimp tempura and the honey garlic wings. The shrimp were nicely fried and properly cleaned (which is always appreciated), but the batter was lacking in flavor. Without the dipping sauce, the dish would’ve fallen completely flat. The wings were cooked well — no soggy skin — but the flavor didn’t quite hit the mark. The garlic came through, but the "honey" part was nearly nonexistent. Overall, maybe a 5/10 for both appetizers.
For our entrees, my husband ordered the Cajun pasta, which was disappointing. It was creamy but bland — more like a standard Alfredo than anything Cajun. It came with a few shrimp, but no sausage, no chicken, and definitely no spice. Not what we expected.
I had the steak frites, which was the highlight of the night. The fries were piping hot, and the steak was cooked well. The chimichurri sauce added a nice punch of flavor. I'd give this dish an 8/10.
All in all, it was an okay experience. The service and atmosphere were pleasant, but the food was hit or miss. We likely wouldn’t return outside of the prix...
