Silver Creek Beer Garden & Grille — Restaurant in Fredericksburg

Bar keep & waiter marked my friend as too drunk and they refused to serve all 5 of us. Needless to say, most of us were sober, trying to tip well, and have a good time. Seems like our table got targeted because we’re LGBTQ+ and a czar of a bartender. Appreciate their dedication to the cause of sobriety? (no they’re operating in winery row ) but they were a little over zealous on Monday. Power trip central.

Response: No, here's what you didn't do: communicate. What happened was that several girls sat down for food and drink but started with snacks because we were hungry. Then a friend went inside to order drinks and to make sure that our party's allergies were accommodated because everything was fried and we needed something veggie forward. Turns out, our friend was deemed too drunk because the bartender was less than kind (judgmental for no reason.) Friend comes out confused, no drinks, and not understanding why she couldn't request the modifications requested. NONE OF THIS WAS COMMUNICATED to the rest of the party. We continued to try and order drinks which were denied (rudely and abruptly) and then we were accused of conspiring to get drinks at the expense of the staff... The patrons were a million times kinder to us. Mind you, all of us are in our mid 30s and not trying to cause a ruckus. We literally wanted food, drink, and to go back to our cabin outside of town for a quiet Monday. To cut this short, it could have been solved with the wait staff communicating their concerns but instead decided to make a party of 5 super uncomfortable and unwelcome....

Extremely rude staff and very poor food. Super over priced.

If I could give this restaurant a ZERO or NEGATIVE stars I would. we received extremely poor service from Macy. We had been seated by the host and waited 15 minutes at our table without our waitress coming by to bring water or anything. The manager asked us if we had been helped and I replied that our waitress had not been to our table. He looked for her and it took several minutes for him to find her. She came to the table a few minutes later and was rude and we felt that we were an inconvenience to her.

We ordered our meal and when the food came, the Bavarian Jaeger Schnitzel was very over cooked and tough. After taking only 2 small bites, we called our waitress to the table to return the food. She took the plate back and a few minutes later asked if we wanted a different dish. We said no, and she sighed heavily, looking disgusted and annoyed with us and walked away.

I asked for the bill and noticed they had taken $10 dollars off of the bill and Macy said it was because more than half of the order was eaten. This was not the case and when we asked Macy about it, she said that the manager said that more than half was eaten. Again, another heavy sigh and disgusted look from Macy (the waitress). As we left, I was angry enough to want to tell people in line to go find another place to eat. In a town where tourism is a major influence, you would hope that businesses would be appreciative of customers.

In our opinion, do not waste your time or money...

The one star I did give is because the food was so dang good. I will not be returning though. Every time we go to Fredericksburg, we eat here. I recommend anyone I know is coming, to eat here as well. The service was HORRIBLE! They tried to sit six people at a four top table. We asked to move and were treated very rude. When our waiter came and took our drink order, he did bring those right out. I took one sip of my beer and it was HOT. Hot like it was just pulled out of the box. I waited, and waited for him to return. I finally asked the lady who brought our appetizer (apparently the manager and a server)to ask our server to come by the table. When he got there, I told him my beer was hot and to please exchange it for a cold one. He did exactly that. When we received our bill, there were both beers on the ticket. The waiter explained that the manager would not comp the hot one, the one I did not drink. I asked to speak to the manager. Mandy is her name and she is EXTREMELY RUDE. I explained the situation and she proceeded to tell me it sat there for 20 minutes before I said anything, and that it was hot outside, so that is why my beer was hot...basically refusing to remove the beer. I proceeded to tell her that we were left sitting there for a long time before I had to ask someone (Her) to have our waiter come to our table. I guess she forgot that I had asked HER to have our server come back out to our table. She proceeded to snatch my ticket from my hand and walk off rolling her eyes and shaking her head. WILL...
