Wife and I came here to watch the Michigan vs Ohio State. I do like the narrow entrance tucked between a few businesses and the walk way to a little spot tucked away in the back hence the name Hideaway. You walk up to a podium that says wait to be seated. Well after 5 minutes of absolutely no one coming we just went and found a table outside where we could see the TV. We got the waitress attention and she brought us some menus. Wife had the tacos in which she liked. I honestly just drank beer the whole time with no food. After 4 hours of being there our check was on like $75 and I drank over 10 beers so I was impressed by the cost. However on the bad side if I was the owner I would be mad as heck. We watched at least 7 or 8 parties stand at the podium for about 5 minutes and nobody would come so they just left. On top of that we watched another 7 or 8 people sit down at a table and they were given a menu but they also left after not being paid attention to. Just dumb on wait staff part because they killed not only their pockets but hurt the owners sales. Something that was comical was 2 people showed up about 330 in which I'm pretty sure we're the owners because as soon as they showed up the wait staff speed went from about a 2 to an 8 and they even started cleaning. Same goes for the bartender inside. Every time I went inside the bartender was sitting there on her phone as the waitstaff outside was overwhelmed. Once owners got there she was inside cleaning up and washing dishes. lol. We still enjoyed our time as it was a relaxing spot to chill out but if I was owners I would check my cameras and tighten things up.

Ugh. To start, when we got there we asked for a mimosa pitcher with pineapple juice. It came out 25 minutes later. Next, my six friends and I all ordered our food and when it came out 40 minutes later, we were extremely disappointed. My friend who ordered a medium rare steak and eggs got a well done steak. My friends BLT bread was burnt. I got the loaded avocado toast and my bread was burnt, the bacon was over cooked, and my eggs were over cooked as well yet still cold somehow. And these were just the main things we noticed. When telling our waitress about our disappointments, she told us to hold so she could talk to the manager. When she came came back she stated because we had eaten our food there wasn’t anything they could do and maybe if we mentioned it earlier they could’ve done something about it. I thought this was comical as the waitress had not come to our table to check on us since we had gotten our food, maybe a 30 minute timespan. Even if she had, our food took so long that we didn’t want to wait any longer to send it back because we knew it would’ve been another 30+ minutes to get the new food. At this point, I didn’t care about the money, I just wanted to get out. But then, something had messed up on their end and they were not able to split our checks so I was forced to pay for 4 other peoples checks including my own. The whole experience was extremely disappointing and ridiculous. Please don’t go here unless you want to pay way too much for food that is absolutely...

My friends and I were visiting for the weekend and saw this place had some good reviews for a brunch spot. The outdoor patio was probably the only good thing about this place. It took our server 15 min to greet us and another 5 min to get waters on the table. It did not seem busy enough to have to wait nearly 20 minutes for water. I had a bottled water with me because we had been walking around, and a server came by and said “I’ll have to take that from you, we can’t have outside drinks here”. I would understand if it was like a soda or coffee but it’s a bottled water and for the amount of time they took to bring us waters, you would think that she would’ve just let it be. We did order mozzarella sticks as a starter and they were so cold on the inside that we just decided to send them back. It was like they had just been tossed in the microwave and they did not reflect the price. The omelette I had was delicious, but the potatoes were cold. We ate them anyways because we were hungry, but I can definitely say this was a one time stop for us. If you want good service and hot food, I do not recommend this place. Whoever owns this place, I can’t imagine that the service we were given meets...
