Freak that never coming here again imma kiss my money goodbye and make sure me and none of my family come here. I use to recommend people this place now I most definitely will tell everyone how horrible they are now. I rather go somewhere else with better quality good, accuracy food, and better...

For being a restaurant with a relatively sizeable seating capacity, the wait for food is expected to be at least a couple minutes on a lunch rush. Not sure if my experience was any different to others, but I pay pretty close attention to detail as well as paid for two huge portions of food from their lunch combo. Portions are amazing, you'll certainly leave with a box of leftovers no matter how hungry you are. But you'll probably be tossing them out in the bin anyways. My experience may have been one of the many few but our food was obviously reheated from being stored away for later use. Some foods are OK to be made before the customer arrives, soup per se, but some foods are meant to be made fresh as soon as they order. I'm not saying that only a few things were off, I'm taking the WHOLE plate was stale. Everything on our plates was rubbery and more stale than the fortune cookie we received at the end. Meat was tough, rice was on the verge of being crunchy, and the noodles were just gross as if they just whipped up some pasta they stored in the fridge for a couple days. Our food came out in literally 5 minutes. FIVE minutes. The food was bad. I go to traditional Chinese restaurants because I want traditional fresh Chinese food, I don't want Hot-n-Ready Chinese food. If I wanted fast noodles and rice I would've gone to Panda Express. Customer service was ok, it's a Chinese restaurant so you shouldn't expect Chick-Fil-A customer service. In all, this restaurant is less than average. Definitely not a horrible restaurant but not a good one either. I've never written a review in my life and today I just had to write this because of how bad...

Will never be back. Take it from someone who is Chinese. This was an insult to my pallet. I was hoping for dim sum and a good dine in meal. Well Four Season is still doing take out only and New City was on vacation until July 6th. I had not been here since the new owners, I’ve always gone to Four Seasons who were the original owners of Imperial Garden. The food tasted like my kids cooked and that is even an insult to them. The chow main and fried rice was laced with soy sauce. No depth whatsoever. The dim sum that I ordered came out cold, ok, I’ll be honest, warm. The only positive plate that I ordered was the beef chow fun but I believe you fail that, then you might as well close the doors. The service was terrible, it took them forever to take our order. Then we have to ask you for straw and chopsticks by waving you down. Come check on your guests once in a while without us having to wave you down. Lastly, it is way too assuming to already include what we need to tip you. Yes, that right, I wasn’t given a choice on what I could tip you considering that the food and the service was below subpar. So be aware of the bill don’t tip again because it’s already included here. I will never suggest this place to anyone. It’s insulting to see the stars that people are giving this place. Granted, a lot don’t know any better because there are a limited number of choices...

This is a LEGIT spot! The portions are INSANE! They have CRATES of styrofoam to-go boxes in the back of the restaurant, because (I'm assuming) most of the customers can't finish their plate. The portions are SO HUGE for the price! I ordered the broccoli chicken and steamed rice. The prices are comparable to other Chinese restaurants (but I got much more food than I have at other restaurants). The food was delicious. I left the restaurant feeling like I ate way too much, and I was STILL able to get two full sized meals from my leftovers. There was a little bit of a language barrier with a few of the staff, but nothing we couldn't handle with a smile and some patience with each other. The wait staff were super nice and the service was outstanding. No exaggeration. The service was outstanding. My diet is limited, so I wasn't able to try any of the items on the cart (yes, I said "cart"). A server pushes a food cart around the dining room, with small plates of different items like dumplings, pot stickers, etc (3 of each item per plate). Everything on the cart looked like it came straight out of a food magazine. Picturesque and appetizing. I will most definitely be returning. This is an establishment worth supporting. The food is top quality, and the menu is plentiful.

I was under the impression that this was a "legitimate Chinese (Cantonese) restaurant. I'm half Chinese and lived and grew up in Taiwan China and SanGabriel Valley. I was weary that it wasn't an actual Chinese restaurant for Chinese people so I asked the older Cantonese folks outside they assured me it was. They were wrong. We ordered basic dishes and they were all wrong. The lettuce wraps we not crunchy and wet and saucy instead of light flakey and crunchy. The Kung Pao looked even worse and we returned it as it arrived. And how do you mess up fried rice?!? It was Dark, dry and flavorless couldn't even really see the egg. I'm shocked. The chicken feet were old (as westerners never order it) this is a generic "Chinese takeout" in middle America disguised as a legitimate Cantonese restaurant. 1/5 never again.

Imperial Garden is our favorite Chinese restaurant to eat at in the Central Valley for a multitude of reasons: 1. We love their hot and sour soup and chicken salad. Super delicious. Great for those two items alone. 2. Dim Sum. ‘Nuf Said. (Sunday Dim Sum is an endless array of choices). 3. I appreciate the super crazy items like chicken feet and salted fish. I don’t eat these items as my palette is not inclined towards those foods. 4. They are quick to accommodate and serve the food fast. Our whole family really likes this place. The servers are not particularly friendly but I am not necessarily coming to eat to make friends (they are professional). The restaurant itself is a bit dirty, but again, it’s great food. I highly recommend this place.
