I had a wonderful time when visiting friends at the Hoobear Lodge. Every room was new spacious and clean. The large social room equipped with a full kitchen with all the amenities one would want in a vacation rental. I loved the placement of the Lodge. When I go to Gatlinburg I expect to see a lovely view of the mountains and I was not disappointed. Whenever I think of the Smoky Mountains one of the attractions is the possibility to see black bears. Was I ever surprised to learn that this HooBear Lodge is on the edge of the National Park and living very close to them are a family of bears! While I was there I got the rare opportunity to see some bears!! What Great fun to stay in a 5 Star Lodge and see the Mountains and feel the Mountain air and relax in the Spa pool they have. I look forward to the next time when I can come with my family and stay for a week! Thanks to HooBear Lodge I believe all who lodge there will experience the true essence of the...
Read moreAbsolutely fantastic home, beautifully decorated and very well appointed. The best feature is for sure the location. If your looking to spend a lot of time in the National Park, it’s the absolute best location you will find because you never have to sit in the traffic on the strip. You literally just turn left and you’re in the park.If your going downtown you can just walk as long as you’re fit enough to handle the incline of the hills up and down, otherwise just drive one minute and park at one of the lots right at the end of the street. Daily bear visits also make this a very unique property. We’ve stayed in and around Gatlinburg dozens of times and have never had the pleasure of being visited by a bear even once, let alone every day of our stay. The lodge was very clean and the host was extremely responsive. We had 3 families of 4 stay and had a perfect amount of space to never feel on top of each other. The views were fantastic as well. ...
Read moreWe had a wonderful visit with a large group of friends celebrating a birthday. The location is fantastic. Easy access to the main strip of Gatlinburg, you can walk down the hill and be right in town yet you feel like you are off in the deep woods when staying at your cabin. The hot tub is basically a small pool. We did have a little trouble figuring out the operation of it but once we got things running it was a mandatory activity every night. The kitchen and living area are expansive and more than adequate for hosting meals. There is also a nice little game room downstairs. Bedrooms are comfortable. Overall we'd absolutely come back to...
