This was the biggest surprise! They are without a doubt serving THE BEST pizza in Gatlinburg! We selected this restaurant after a long day of sightseeing and exploring. We had zero expectations and went with it being the closest to your hotel and a downhill walk back. Our hopes were that it would be “OK”… We arrived at a spotlessly clean restaurant with a friendly staff! Hmmm seems ok… We ordered salad and pizza. The salad arrived fresh loaded with all the things that make a salad great! Thought to myself hmm… As we finished our salads the pizza arrived, I thought really nice timing. The pizza was fresh, warm, and beautiful! Normally being a “foodie” I’d grab a picture but thinking naaa it won’t be as good as it looks I opted to just dig in. First bite WOW!! This pizza is delicious!!!! And no picture to show for it being I already took a slice! Folks this place is amazing!!! You must know it is hidden inside the Glenstone Lodge because otherwise you will not find it as we missed it on a scouting drive by earlier! It is open to the public! If you are looking for pizza please do yourself a favor and give this place a chance! Every aspect of our meal was perfect! I did manage to get a picture of the last slice that neither of us could finish because we were happy and stuffed!

This is not a real restaurant. Beers and drinks come from the lobby’s self service fridge. It’s basically an extension of the room service kitchen. “Wait staff” are untrained kids, who are super sweet and friendly but have no idea what’s going on. Asked if there’s any beers on draft and it caused such confusion in our server he needed to get managerial help to tell him it’s just the bottles next to the Gatorade for sale. He then kindly offered a glass with ice for my beer. Poor kid had no idea and that is entirely the fault of his training for which I blame management… he really wanted to do his best but had no idea how. Ordered a kids pizza which was a disappointing pre made round of bread and cheese toasted up which was sad looking (pictured). The supreme pizza was good enough though. It’s not a terrible place to eat but definitely not a destination to go to on purpose. More like a compromise when you’re too tired to leave the hotel.

Take out. Just picked up our food about 10:15pm today. We went here because it’s very close to our resort. The food lacked flavor, but perfect for those on a low sodium diet. Our pizza didn’t taste fresh and appeared dry like it was made a while ago. We waited at least 15 mins after our pick up time which is fine. Overall the naked wings were obviously naked so it didn’t have flavor, but the chicken alfredo didn’t have flavor either. I wish I had salt at our resort, but we sadly didn’t. The marinara sauce was way hotter than the pizza and cheese bread. The lady who gave us our food I think she said that she was waiting for our pizza?! I doubt she meant this pizza that I received. Unfortunately, we will have to avoid this place next time and are being nice by giving them a 3 star rating. For about $70 worth of food this was disappointing. We bought a bit of everything to try on purpose. We also aren’t picky.

The hotel my partner and I were staying in didn't have any dinner options but we were starving and this one was just down the street, so a few nights ago we showed up an hour and a half before the place was meant to close

I'm only giving this restaurant two stars as the food was good (though we ordered the Buffalo Chicken pizza was seemingly is meant to have ranch on it, ours did not) but the service and attitude of the workers was TERRIBLE

When we walked in the older lady at the front immediately had an attitude with us, as if we walked in only a few minutes before close and not over an hour like we actually did. She didn't even ask if we wanted to eat in or get take out, just assumed we wanted take out and assumed we already knew what we wanted as if we'd seen the menu before. I apologized and told her it was actually our first time there, and she handed us the menu as if we were inconveniencing her

There was only one other family in the restaurant and I'd been exhausted from walking around all day so I walked over to a table to look over the menu for a second and the woman at the front followed after us getting annoyed that we didn't make it clear we wanted to eat in, and she said it's fine if we want to dine in but it clearly was NOT fine with how she was talking to us and how she'd assumed we'd get take out in the first place. At this point I just wanted to hurry up, order our food, and get out

The whole time we waited for the pizza to be done not only did she glare at us as if she wanted us out of the restaurant immediately, but we noticed one of the employees sitting down on his shift. I'm not someone who minds when employees sit down when it's slow even if there's still a few people in the restaurant, but that being acceptable made it all the more obvious that woman did not want us in there since she didn't want us sitting down. And to top it off, the same employee who'd sat down was chewing on his hair the whole time. We honestly didn't realize he was an employee until he was the one who handed us our pizza

Tldr; EXTREMELY rude staff, the food was good but seemingly our pizza lacked some ingredients compared to the pictures, one of the employees was...

My family, friends, and I recently visited the area and decided to order pizza and salads from this restaurant based on the appealing menu and positive first impressions. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing due to poor customer service and disorganized operations.

After placing our order, we waited an hour and a half with no delivery. I called the restaurant three times for updates and remained respectful throughout each conversation. However, the staff member I spoke with was consistently unprofessional and dismissive. On my final call, I asked if there was any update on our delivery driver, and was told, “I don’t know where they are or how long it will be.” I later found out that our food had been sitting there, completed, for the entire time.

We ended up having to pick up our order ourselves. Upon arrival, the staff member immediately went to the back. When she returned, I informed her I was there for the order under the name Savannah. She disappeared again for another 10 minutes, despite the food already being prepared. When she finally returned, she placed the food on the counter and told me we would receive a refund for the inconvenience, but only the price of 1 pizza, then walked away without further explanation.

I asked to speak with her again and requested documentation or confirmation of the promised refund. She reluctantly printed a receipt and told me to contact the manager at 4 PM. Throughout the entire exchange, she was rude, dismissive, and clearly uninterested in resolving the issue professionally.

We were hoping for a smooth and enjoyable experience, but unfortunately, this was not the case. I would not recommend this establishment based on the service...

Mountain Trail Grill & Pizzeria is inside Glenstone Lodge. The service was nice although the kids at the register had broken English. They were still helpful and smiley.

A few soda and water refrigerators, a few candy and snack brands. Nothing too exciting. Bottled water was expensive. We walked to the General Store and bought drinks and snacks at a better price.

My parents and I liked the pizza! It was tasty and looked eye appealing too. Sorry, no pizza pictures. I got a small chicken with white sauce. It didn't taste frozen or thrown together. The chicken tasted real. The crust was good. My mom also got the spaghetti and meatballs. It was in an aluminum small contain. She said it was ok if one is hungry. I don't think she cared for the sauce. She also got a salad.

My only Con is the menu was pizza of course and lots of saucy foods. No vegetables or rice with chicken dinners. The menu needs a few dinner meals like a protein with 2 side dishes. Plus, you have to pay for breakfast. Glenstone Lodge does not offer complimentary or continental breakfast. Its $10 prepay for breakfast the night before or $12 the day of breakfast. I got to look at the breakfast before buying it. It was nothing worth my wild to purchase. We went to McDonald's cheaper for 3 people.

It needs updated too could use a revamp on decor, snack counter, breakfast choices, more menu choices for dinner meals. The breakfast area was needed more lighting.

Overall I would definitely get pizza there again when I ever go back to Glenstone Lodge and Gatlinburg. I'll get my bottled water and snacks elsewhere. Open 7am- 11am then...
