Came to this store on Vacation to get some Christmas gifts for a family member. We love Paula Deen and so does the person we got gifts for here. We bought the included picture of salt and pepper shakers set and were especially excited about them! We spent about $150 here in total just to give the whole story. We were very happy with everything or so we thought! The lady at the register was very helpful! But mind you, we live in Memphis, TN. Almost 7 hours from Pigeon Forge. Come Christmas Day, our gifts were opened from said family member and we found that the enclosed salt and pepper shaker we purchased was in fact two pepper shakers instead and we are now home almost 7 hours away. We called to get the matter fixed, maybe just a refund to make it simpler since we were told we needed to wait for the return to be processed after the 1st of the year because the store was too busy to do so at the time so we went ahead and paid for a new one so she could have and enjoy her gift sooner than that. We were also told we could just get a refund as long as we had proof of the store's mistake and our receipt which we did hold onto. So we waited and made the call as we were told to do. I called, tried to explain the situation and was stopped to be told I needed to speak to a manager. I got on the phone with the manager and now she is saying differently, that we needed to first get the merchandise back to the store regardless of the situation we were in. But to put in perspective, the shakers are kind of heavy and need to be shipped as fragile so by time we ship these items back, we will spend out of pocket just about the same amount we paid for them if not more, but we will only be reimbursed for the item we bought, not for shipping back the (wrong) item back to the store. So pretty much, we will just have to break even or keep a set of two pepper shakers and I just can't wrap my brain around that especially after we were initially told we could easily have a refund because it was the store's mistake and because we live far away. Maybe I'm wrong or over reacting, but y'all need to please change your return policy or maintain better communication throughout the store so this doesn't happen again. In my opinion, this is ridiculous and unfair. We will...
Read moreMy family & I were visiting Gatlinburg on vacation this past week & I have to say this was by far my favorite store! & NOT just because of PAULA DEEN THE QUEEN!! I didn't catch his name & I wish I would have, but there was a gentleman behind the counter who really made you feel right at home as you entered the store! He had a great sense of humor, he was helpful, & you could tell he really enjoys working there!
I have been looking forward to visiting this store for awhile now & he made the experience that much better! His southern accent was my favorite! The store was also so beautiful & very organized. Each area of the store had it's own little theme, making it easier to shop! My favorite was the cow themed kitchen accessories/utensils & the CANDLES! the candles are to DIE FOR!! If you visit this store you HAVE to buy the banana pudding candle!! So yummy!!
Lastly, I hope someone from the corporate office sees this because that man deserves a raise! I hope my review...
Read moreI had purchased a "Soap Y'all" soap dispenser a year ago and loved it! I use it in my kitchen and wanted another one. So when we were in Pigeon Forge over New Year's, I bought another one. Got it home and filled it up and the pump absolutely will not screw on or grip in anyway. My husband wrapped a little plumber's tape around it and that helped the pump grip a little...but it leaks! I folded up a paper towel and set underneath to see if it truly is leaking and it is but we can't find where its leaking from. SO DISAPPOINTED in this soap dispenser...especially since the first...
