With the vast array of restaurant options, overwhelming us on our first visit, the recommendation of a fellow hotel guest to Log Cabin Pancake House was a welcome option. Maysee was our server. Curt and not very welcoming she took our drink order. The menu was a beautiful blend of sweet and savory goodness and portions seemed to be generous coming out of the kitchen. Starving and excited, we opted for three breakfasts. I was right about the generous portions and we dug into our Southern delicacies. Maysee asked if everything was ok. It was not, my steak was dry and unappetizing. I asked to return it and she waltzed away without asking me if I wanted to replace my protein or order. So I sat idly while my husband and daughter ate their meals.. I had to ask another server whether we paid out front or whether our server was coming back. We'd been sitting for a while after she brought us a to go box for my daughter's leftovers. No apologies, requests for refills, replacement for my meal (I managed to eat two mini pancakes & a dry piece of steak but that was it).. needless to say, when it was time to checkout I had to voice my grievances to the manager, Stacy and another sweet lady manager, I hate I didn't catch her name.. apologized prefusely then, kindly took care of my portion of the bill, and I squared the rest away. No tip included. They were so kind and apologetic although I didn't think it was theirs to offer. I will give the place another try in a future visit but having interned at Disney, I know the value of good customer service. Here, Maysee managed to put a dampener on my first experience with their popular establishment. I caution you to meet people with grace bc we're all going through things but if you are in food service, an unfriendly delivery of even the best food, can mean the difference between a good/bad review and tip. Food was just ok. Service was bad. But management and establishment atmosphere...

From the moment my family and I stepped into Log Cabin Pancakes, we were enveloped in the warm embrace of classic Southern hospitality. The atmosphere was truly reminiscent of a cozy, welcoming log cabin in the heart of the South, making us feel right at home.
For my meal, I opted for an omelet, which was prepared to perfection, fluffy and filled with fresh ingredients that harmonized beautifully on my palate. Meanwhile, my family indulged in pancakes and eggs, which they described as deliciously light and fluffy, cooked to golden perfection, embodying the true essence of classic breakfast favorites.
The service we received was nothing short of excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to take pride in ensuring that our dining experience was memorable. They were quick to offer recommendations, ensuring that each of us found something delightful on the menu to start our day right.
But what truly set Log Cabin Pancakes apart was its authentic Southern style. From the decor to the dishes, everything resonated with a deep-rooted Southern charm that you'd be hard-pressed to find elsewhere. It felt as if each bite and every moment spent there connected us more deeply with the rich culinary and cultural traditions of the South.

Read moreFood was great, service was terrible. We were sat 45 mins before they closed. Usually we don’t enter a restaurant less than hour before they close but we knew we could and wanted to be in and out. It took 15 mins to be greeted by any server and it wasn’t even our assigned server. She got our drinks and sent our server over couple mins later, we ordered right away and our food was out in the next 5-10 mins. It was great and we got to eating quickly and even asked for the check as food was dropped so we could exit quickly when finished. 1:40, 20 mins before they close, they turn the off the lights on us, turn off fireplace, turn off Christmas lights. Curly Blonde women who sat us, maybe hostess or couldn’t imagine but maybe the manager mean mugged us all the way back to the front after doing so. At that point, not being able to see our remaining food to finish and feeling completely punished for being patrons we ask for boxes. Our server and the one who first helped us were kind, but all the other servers, hostess included were rude as ever and gave horrible looks. There are so many other pancake houses around and this one does have potential. Food was outstanding but highly lacking in “late night focus”by the front of house team. We absolutely would have been done in the next 5-8 mins prior to lights being turned off and my review would have been 5 stars. We would have also understood if they told us at 1:10 when we entered that they couldn’t serve us because they close at 2. I will not be recommending this place nor spending my Gatlinburg...
