We really wanted to like this place. The food was actually pretty good. The owner/management really needs to work on the service though. I know it’s tough when you’re understaffed but you just can’t sit and wait for people to apply in this day and age. You need to go out and recruit and maybe even increase pay. As an owner/manager you should chip in and help out when it’s busy. Train your staff to work better or let them go. You can’t keep bad employees because you think it’s better than nothing. We stood in line for 20 minutes while we saw many tables sitting empty. Only two waitresses and one bartender. One waitress was running around working her butt off. The other waitress was strolling around at a snails pace. Unfortunately we got the snail. Understanding that we probably only had one shot at placing our order before our waitress disappeared on us for 30 minutes, we were prepared. Waitress spoke very softly, almost timid, but our drinks came out fairly quickly. Oddly they said they to tell the kitchen how many people were ordering before they took our order. We asked to turn the heater on. The waitress responded with something unintelligible and it was never turned on. We had a group of 4. After about 10 minutes 1 sandwich came out. Waitress whispered that she was getting the other food. 10 more minutes go by and the waitress returns to inform us that she forgot to put our order in. So we had to tell her what we ordered again. Not sure how you write everyone’s order on one ticket and 3 out of 4 get lost. They took the meals off the ticket without us even asking. It wasn’t necessary. We still tipped her well.
It looked like the people at the bar were well taken care of. So if you can sit at the bar you’re probably going to be ok.
The problem is the management. Instead of responding to “Karen’s” reviews online they should be getting their hands dirty and helping out. They always have an excuse for everything but they never do anything to fix the problem. The place is always full and half the reviews are good. I guess they think that’s good enough.
Reply to response; LOL!!!! Owner was right on queue with the Karen response. Some people just aren’t meant to be business owners. Go check the employee reviews on Indeed. Anger issues is a common thread there. Caring isn’t enough. Having a sign that says you are proud of your staff doesn’t really mean much when your staff sucks at their job. It’s 100% an excuse. You might want to get a dictionary and look up the difference between excuse and fact. I don’t think it means what you think it means. You’re just too lazy or too stupid to figure out how to improve. An intelligent businessman would see a pattern through these reviews and make a serious effort to improve rather than lashing out at those leaving HONEST reviews. But I guess you’re happy with your mediocrity. Enjoy watching your business fail and putting it up for sale in a...
Read moreTo keep it short before I go into detail, this is the absolute best place in Helen. The food was amazing. Definitely try the lemon pepper wings. They literally stand by their description as JUMBO wings. They were hot, crispy, large, and full of flavor. I don't even eat anything on a bone but I ordered these and was NOT disappointed. The fries, cheese curds, and mega pretzel is amazing as well. Although the bar selection is smaller than some, what they do have is really great. It's an amazing bar, great relaxed atmosphere, attentive/kind staff, and the owner is awesome! We also have NEVER had to wait for a table and we have gone only on Fridays and Saturdays. Also, if you feel their foot is expensive, I feel sorry for you. This is the best quality food for the price. Go get the 4 for 4 from Wendy's if you don't want quality food.
Me and my husband stopped by here last year. The restaurant was under a different owner at the time who was also really kind. We loved the atmosphere and pretzel so much that when we came back to Helen this year, we stopped again. The first night during this visit, we went there just for drinks and a pretzel only to find out it had a new owner named Daniel. Daniel came out to the outside bar and spoken to us for a while. He really seemed to want to know his customers even though this is generally a tourist destination. On day 2, we spent some time at Paul's (with a lot of disappointment and overpriced items) watching the LSU game. After eating bad wings and was told about the price of their shots, we left during half time to come back to TTT. We finally tried the wings, burger with fries, another pretzel, cheese curds, and a few different beers. All of it was absolutely amazing and came out extremely fast. We also had an amazing server who we scared by asking to speak to Daniel again to let him know how wonderful his establishment is. Poor girl lol sorry again for the scare! You were phenomenal! Without any expectation, he gave my husband a beer on the house! Daniel and his staff have customers for life. We have never been treated so awesome by an establishment and it's definitely worth the 3 hour drive to get here.
Me and my husband travel to destinations just for food. We are huge food critics. So for us to really enjoy every single plate that was delivered to us, it's big. I was also in customer service for several years and everyone, including the owner, offers the best service around. Whether you want a quick stop or a relaxing night at the bar, this place will do the trick. P.s. they have a charger for iPhones and androids for all of you that may not keep your battery full...

My family and I ate at TTT on a recent trip to Helen. We had a party of five adults and three children (one an infant). From the moment we were seated, we were practically ignored. There were several empty tables, and we observed the wait staff spending much more time at other tables, so I don’t think the issue was due to being understaffed. However, I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt. After 20 minutes of being seated, our order was finally taken. After another 25 minutes, our food arrived (not bad). Every drink at the table was empty, so we asked for refills. 80% through finishing our food, we finally got a refill (the only refill we received, by the way).
Once done eating, the waitress showed up with a hand-held point of sale device. She asked what we had (figured she should know that already), and after entering everything, she shows me a price and tells me to insert my credit card. There was no explanation of the charges for me to review. However, I assumed everything was correct, since we had just gone over what we had.
We walked out of the restaurant, and we started examining the receipt. It turns out that we were automatically charged an 18% tip. I had selected to add an additional 18% when I was presented with the PoS device, even though the level of service deserved much less. I returned to restaurant and spoke with the manager. She said that tip is automatically added for parties over 6. She said that it is printed on the menu; however, the online images of the menu do not state such. Anyway, she offered a refund of the additional tip that I had added. She apologized for us not being informed of the tip being automatically added. I THOUGHT THIS MAY HAVE BEEN A ONE-OFF ISSUE UNTIL I STARTED READING OTHER REVIEWS. I can’t help but wonder how many other people are double-tipping and are not catching it. It may also explain the poor service, since there isn’t much incentive to actually earn the tip.
Food-wise, it was okay. The burger had cheese and bacon on it, but nothing else. It was quite dry. I had to flag down someone to finally get some ketchup and mustard. Some sauce or something would’ve gone a long way in improving the burger. Also, some lettuce, tomato, etc. would’ve been good, too.
Last thing - I was so focused on the tip issue that I completely failed to notice that I was charged nearly $3 more for my burger than I should have been. Menu price was $16.95. I got fries, not onion rings, so the price should’ve been what was on the menu. I was actually...
