Great location, nice clean rooms, big and spacious. You only get 2 towels in the bathroom. Bring your own towels. Parking is $35 with a CC and $20 if you pay cash. Parking spots are tight. However, the people that stay here blast music, scream and yell and the hotel does nothing. Adults banging on tables and doors. I mean, crazy loud. Keep you awake in your room loud. The doors are made out of glass so the sunlight comes right in, also wakes you up in the morning. But the worst part of all is the front desk service. The rooms that have double king beds, the hotel says the rooms are for 2 people only included in price. ?? FYI If you want to bring your children, even if under 18, they will charge you for "extra people" even if you paid extra for a room with double beds. What??? I've never heard of such crazy policy. This is why I paid more for 2 beds instead of 1. And they don't even tell you they are charging you the extra $40 per minor, per day. Matter of fact, when I left and called them to check out at 9:50am, they never sent me a folio via email with my total stay cost. Every hotel does that. It's not till I monitored my credit card that I saw the extra $331 charge on my CC. I call them and they're like oh yea.... that's for the late check out and the extra people. What? What late check out? What extra people? They reversed the late check out fee (please be aware they will charge you this $150 if you leave after 10am), but they did not reverse the extra $160 for my two kids, although I paid extra to have a room with 2 beds for 4 people. It's a rip off. And they don't tell any of this at check in nor at check out when you call. For the exact same money they charged me, I could've stayed at Margaritaville. I'm not kidding. I paid over $800+ for 2 nights. And it's a shame, because maybe I would've given Diane a 2nd chance to see if the next stay would've been a little quieter. But no way... a hotel like this is out to milk people. Do yourself a favor and ask for all charges up front, and also ask for a folio when you check out. And then confirm the charges with your CC to ensure they dont charge unauthorized or unknown charges. The customer service I received was so disappointing. What a...
Read moreWOW Some French Canadian says what a dump as walking by...He didn't even stay there! Does any one review these reviews for validity? Look, the Diane is not a 5 star hotel with 5 star service and this is why I only rated those items as good.....the rooms are decent and do have a kitchen which is a plus....but what you can not beat is the location. When the Sun rises and you open your door in the AM there is the sun lighting up the ocean, sparkling like a diamond. You are literally right next to Nicks Bar which has some great service, nice people working there and awesome Rum-runners. You are within walking distance to Le-Tub an extremely rare restaurant that was once rated as having one of the best Hamburgers in the country. A short walk from there is Capones Flicker lite Pizza which has some awesome pizza. You can sit outside right on the Inter coastal and watch the boats go by if you wish....feed the catfish LOL. You are within walking distance to the infamous Haagen-Daz Ice cream. Listen...I've stayed at the nicer hotel with a room over looking the ocean on the 10th floor with the valet parking and free breakfast but let me lay out a scenario for you, You gather all your beach things, walk down the long hallway to the elevator, take it down ten floors, cut through the cold lobby, outside past the bar get to the beach and get all set up and now one of the kids have to pee! The Diane may not be a 5 star hotel but you open your front door and you are literally 20' away from the beach! In my opinion the location is 5 star and blows away any other fancy highrise hotel. If you are on business OK maybe you want a fancy hotel but if you want a unique beach vacation....this spot is...
Read moreThis is our 5th year coming to Hollywood for vacation! We normally stay at a boutique hotel just on the back side but this year we decided to try Diane Oceanfront Suites and wow!!! The staff was amazing! Friendly and accommodating! Maintenance/Groundskeeper kept the place looking clean via touch ups, lawn, hallways! Parking was just outside our room and never an issue even on busy weekend nights! The room was clean, spacious and smelled wonderful! Bathroom had all the amenities and a rainfall shower with 2 shower heads! Beds were comfortable. The beach, literally, is RIGHT there in front of you!!! Everything you need is on the boardwalk which was right outside our door. Waking up to beautiful sunrises and the sound of the ocean were priceless. The patio had 2 lounge chairs and we took advantage of that on many mornings (to watch the sun rise) and many evenings ( to people watch, relax and or drink). Nicks Bar is right next door...very good food and drinks. And even though our room was right there on the corner by Nick's, we could not hear the sounds coming from the bar in our room...trust me, my boyfriend is a LIGHT sleeper!! Police were on the boardwalk every night (parked in front of our hotel), so safety was NOT an issue. We fully enjoyed our stay and will definitely make this our home away from home! Just 2 suggestions to the hotel: 1). Maybe have and ironing board/iron in rooms and 2). Add a full length mirror on a wall for the ladies 😜. Thank you Mercy and staff! See...
