The Palms — Hotel in Hollywood

Do not stay here! Omg where to start first off the staff is extremely rude. The customer service attitude in that office as if you are doing them a favor they hate their job. I SWEAR! Their energy is extremely negative. There’s a woman, a black woman I believe she may be Haitian first told us over the phone there will be no (deposit) wow go figure? once we arrived tho met another older woman had to be her 50s wrinkled face, large eyes slick back ponytail skinny Cubano possibly extremely (unprofessional) extremely unapologetic, attitude as if she (hated that job) the only proper professionalism was another tall Latino Cuban man people were kind, patient and could communicate well speaking with him moving along the room was very dirty room looked like it was lived in walls was never wiped off. The floor was definitely not swept. The top sheet cover was not changed. It just didn’t have any love and care of really cleaning not sure who the cleaners are. I did see they were a couple of men however finding the address is extremely confusing as well as you can see here it’s called the (Palms Hotel) address I believe 1815 it’s a totally different (address you’re gonna have to use your (upmost navigation) because that’s the main office but it’s a different address it’s not called palms. It’s called Hollywood and then it’s different locations in that area on that street of a room that they will send you to not sure who owns this establishment I believe PETE SERA but hopefully he does a sweep a clean sweep with his staff, because so many people were disappointing. People were talking outside. People were whispering inside the poisonous)there really are the woman at the front desk black Caribbean, woman with a wig, dark skin and a skinny Cuban lady with a split back ponytail in her late 50s terribleeee 🤢 unfortunately we did not enjoy our stay just the checkout...

Horrible, Horrible I've never in my life been to a hotel that's this bad. No ice buckets for ice. I trying buying water. I was told they doesn't have water right now. The check in line was way out the door and took along time to check in. The service guy Jarhnell seemed like he had an attitude and didn't want to be at work he had just got to work and just wasn't smiling and seems like he doesn't even like his job. I was asking questions and it seems like he was getting very impatient. This hotel charges for every single thing. They told me in Order to get ice I had to pay $4.29 I'm here thirsty because they doesn't have free water or water you can buy. They don't go out the way to try to accommodate their guests at all. A party group was out side playing loud music all day no consideration for the other guests at all. I hate I decided to spend my birthday weekend here. This is the worst birthday I ever had in my life. Please please don't come here. The only perk is the location because it's near the beach. The free breakfast only bread, toast, cereal, milk and coffee. I really regret coming here. This hotel made my birthday worst and I wasn't able to enjoy my self at all. I've been to way better 2 star hotels than this. Far as I'm concern just close the whole hotel down and start all over again. Come here and your going to be very upset. You know their horrible when they're offering guests free gifts just to get a 5 Star review basically bribing people into giving them a 5 Star ⭐ review because all the other reviews on here is so true about this hotel. My mother stayed at this hotel for a few hours after getting off a cruise. She went to the website and booked a room. It was inexpensive and she was only staying from 4 pm to 4 am. Everything was paid for online. When she got to the hotel Sophia, the lady at the front desk was very rude to her, telling her that she was not going to give her a room until she pays $100 for a deposit. No where on the website did it say a deposit upon arrival. I called the hotel to get a better understanding of the deposit and the lady found out that I was the daughter of the lady sitting in the lobby and Sophia put me on hold then came back to the phone, said "Hello" and hung up on me. Not to mention, she kept me on hold for about 30 minutes. My mom is still in the lobby. My mother asked to speak to a manager and Sophia said managers do not work on the weekend and then send a random staff member to my mother to tell her she will not get a room until she pay her $100, My mother told them, if I give you cash will you take that, the lady said, "If you give me cash, it has to be $200? WHAT!!! I paid the $100 for my mom to get a room. Then my mom gets to the room, the TV did not work, the door did not close all the way, the water did not work. She notified the staff and they said "ok" and nothing happened. My mom said there were roached in the room and she slept in the chair afraid to get into the bed.

This hotel is horrible and the staff are rude. My mom is elderly and just wanted to rest and this is what she got. She did not want to bother me when booking her hotel so she did it herself and this is what she gets. I commend her for being able to book her own room.
