If you are thinking about staying here DON’T. I know it’s alluring because the price is so low. But I can tell you definitively that the price is not worth it. I’m going to tell you IN DETAIL what happened on our unfortunate night in this hell hole of a hotel. My husband and I got in very very late. After a long day of work and a long drive we were worn out and exhausted. The worker manning the front desk wasn’t particularly sympathetic or helpful. It took us 10 minutes to find our room because their hand writing was so bad. When we finally found the room we were immediately crest fallen. I have included a picture of the type of room we received so you can see the layout for yourself. It was in an L-shape and the TV wasn’t facing the bed. It was adjacent to the bed facing the wall. I don’t think I’ve ever been in a hotel where the TV didn’t face the bed. But that was minor compared to the other atrocities we discovered. The toilet was dirty and had clearly not been cleaned in a very long time same with the sad excuse for a tub/shower. Housekeeping only supplied us with one towel. The. Room. Was. Filthy. In addition we kept smelling cigarette smoke someone close to us was smoking in their room despite this being a non-smoking hotel. The walls were paper thin and we could hear drunk conversations from the room next to us. The bed was rock hard and the sheets kept rolling up so it was extra lumpy and extremely uncomfortable. However we barely had enough time to take this all in before we felt like our safety was compromised. Someone came to our door and started banging. At first we thought it was a guest who had us mistaken for their room, we hoped they’d take the hint to go away if we ignored it. But the banging didn’t stop. Whoever this was wouldn’t take the hint to go away. We suddenly felt that this stranger was trying to lure us to open the door for some nefarious purpose. So I approached the door and yelled through it, “HEY, you don’t belong here, leave or I’m calling the cops.” They finally left and I carefully peaked out the front window to make sure they were gone. As you can tell our nerves were frayed our emotions were high, and we felt extremely unsafe. I asked my husband if he could move the sofa in front of the front door to barricade ourselves in the room, in case they came back and tried something more hostile. We then called the front desk to ask if they could move is to a different room and to complain of the other things we had experienced. The man on the phone said all their rooms were full and was completely apathetic to the fact that we felt unsafe. I tried calling other hotels to see if they could accommodate us for the night, but we were so exhausted we could barely think straight. We decided we’d try to work with this hotel in the morning. After a sleepless night on the worst mattress I’ve ever had the displeasure of sleeping on and listening to shouts from other drunk guests around us. We tried to work with the new person at the front desk. She was also apathetic to what we had experienced and wouldn’t move us to a place we felt we’d be safe. So we decided to take our business somewhere else. We asked for a full refund and the lady at the front desk said she couldn’t refund us for the night we stayed but she could refund us for our remaining stay (we were only planning on staying 2 nights). I still haven’t seen that refund in my bank account so further complaints will probably have to be made for the most aggravated night I’ve ever experienced. I’ve included pictures of everything… the room layout, the filth, the towels, the raised granite in front of the bathroom that I stubbed my toe on four times, and the placement of our room in relation the the other rooms. Our room is the one with a red dot in it. You can see how this room is oddly shaped and in a group with three other rooms so we don’t completely know who the rowdy guests were or who it was who came banging on our door. To finalize my thoughts, in all my travels I’ve never been so angry, so exacerbated, or so...
Read moreThe reviews here tell a story that should have management jumping to correct systemic issues. It should be disturbing to the ownership to see multiple reviews with the same complaints. This should also be a warning to those wanting to stay here that the hotel is either unwilling or unable to correct these issues. Advised when we arrived that the elevator was broken and that we would have to use the stairs to access our 5th floor room. I was told they were working on the problem and it should be resolved that afternoon. We hoofed it with my 4 young kids to our room with all our bags. Not fun. We went out for a while and returned only to learn that the elevator was still down. I paid for a room with a river view. I expected that I would have a room with a front facing view of the river and the beautiful Mormon temple accross from the hotel. We were given a room facing a parking lot. We could see the river a bit from the corner of the balcony but this is not what I would consider to be a river view. The grounds are a mess. Heavy weeds everywhere. Bushes and trees need pruning. To their credit there was staff working on them when I arrived. A bunch of staff were hanging out smoking near the entrance to the hotel. Parking on one side but main entrance on the other. Wheelchair ramp is literally coming apart. It would not take a miracle to fix this. Nor would it take much time or money. The lobby chandeliers are filthy. There are a multitude of dead bugs clinging to them. The lobby bathroom seemed nice except that the urinal was covered in a plastic bag and inoperable. TV stand/dresser looked like it had been moved and in so doing the cable connection was yanked out of the wall. When I called about this they wanted to move me to another room. I told them all that was needed was a new coax cable. The maintenance man was very quick to bring me one despite having to use the stairs. Also the cord for the fridge was stuffed in behind the condensor and the cord for the microwave would reach the wall. Then I found they had placed the power stop inside the cabinet instead of on the outside. I unplugged the TV, moved the power strip and plugged in the Microwave, Fridge and TV. Beds are reasonably comfortable but are missing blankets, comforters or duvets of any sort. You have a top sheet and one of those foam things they want to make you believe is a blanket but does nothing to keep you warm. To remedy this you have to turn on the climate control which was working nicely and quietly. Our balcony slider was hard to open and the furniture outside was covered in bird turds. The outdoor pool seemed like a possible option despite the cool weather but our key cards would not open the gate. When I inquired about this I was advised it had problems with guest cards but that they could come open it for me if I wanted to use it. The parking lot has a food vendor parked at the far side, a truck with a dog tied to it and a broken down van. The room had a faint odor of wet dog. This is presumably a transfer of smell from vacuums that are constantly consuming dog hair and dander. I could keep going but you get the point. The room we were in was decently large with 2 queen beds and a large sofa sleeper. Hard to find this in many hotels. The TV was a nice 42 inch LG. Something they try to sneak in under your nose is a 25 dollar charge for late checkout. They have you initial that if you check out past 11 am you will receive a 25 dollar fine. Not a good way to treat your guests.
I would not stay here again as there are things going on behind the scenes that cause me worry and leave me feeling that the ownership is not able to care for their guests or...

I wish I could post these on fliers outside of the hotel so people could prevent the disaster that befell us. I'm going to make sure that anyone who thinks to stay here sees this now though. Facebook, yelp, google, trio adviser, pigeon, smoke signals. Tell your grandma, tell your dog.
We booked off of choice website on our way up to Yellowstone for the day while traveling from Ca to Wi. After 1200 miles of driving my boyfriend couldn't stand my constant wailing over how greasy I'd become and relented to stay a night in this place after numerous attempts at bribing him with promises of a happy, smiley clean girlfriend. Oh man. I'm sure he wishes he'd just febreezed me now and kept driving.
Upon driving up the first thing I notice is that the RHODEWAY INN IS NOT THE BEAUTIFUL CYLINDER SHAPED HOTEL PICTURED. It's the dirty looking hovel in it's shadow. Next, after numerous attempts of finding the front desk, a helpful street dweller pointed us back to the 'quality inn' (the pictured hotel) where we checked in with Jaclyn. Mind you, upon our confused wandering we came across a huge, blaringly loud fiesta by the pool area.
-I hope that's not our hotel
