The Aida hotel is exactly as described- a peaceful, comfortable hotel within walking distance to either the plaza or Westport, and amazing art museums literally outside your front door. From the moment you walk in, you are surrounded by well curated art pieces, carefully selected furniture and an atmosphere of luxury. The owners were very responsive with a few minor requests- I’d had back surgery and needed extra pillows- they were there when we returned to our room nicely placed on the freshly made bed. The grounds are lovely, with beautiful landscaping and a small pond/bird bath that provides a sense of solitude despite being in the middle of everything! You are greeted with Donsuemor madeleines and Nespresso coffee in the “common” area on the first floor in the morning, with apples that appear to be picked or chosen from a local market, and each evening there is an unassuming bottle of prosecco with small glasses for you to imbibe. All very lovely touches that add a flair of hospitality. The rooms are lovely, with darkening shades and VERY comfortable mattresses and pillows. As mentioned after back surgery a few weeks prior I was nervous, but with a pillow to support my knees I slept like a baby! They provide sound machines, the doors have sound-stopping door runners and it is so peaceful. No slamming doors, elevator dings or sounds of loud kids running down the halls. That being said, this is NOT kid-friendly. My husband and I would absolutely come back as a couple, but we recognize the beautiful, quiet atmosphere this boutique hotel is going for, and recognize it is not intended for families- which adds to the peaceful charm ❤️ Two notes for improvement- a makeup light either stand-alone or in the bathroom as the bathrooms are lovely but fairly dark if applying makeup. The other consideration would be bottles of water or drinking water in the common area, as the Nespresso machine ran out and there is no sink- just an ice machine and tiny tiny mini-fridge for the entire property. Overall an exquisite property and lovely rooms with nice, spacious bathrooms that will absolutely draw us back if we visit KC...

This was my second stay. The Aida Boutique Hotel isn't just a place to stay; it's an experience, a plunge into a world of undeniable allure. From the moment I crossed the threshold, I was enveloped in its captivating aesthetic – a symphony of deep hues, plush textures, and strategically placed, evocative lighting.
Forget sterile, cookie-cutter accommodations. The Aida breathes atmosphere. Each room is a masterclass of design, a private stage set for a cinematic dream. The rich, velvety drapes, the gleaming dark wood accents, the artfully chosen vintage touches – every element whispers of a bygone era, yet feels utterly contemporary in its sophisticated execution.
The attention to detail is staggering. From the plush bedding, to the curated snack-bar, stocked with locally made artisanal chocolates, attention to detail sets this place apart from others. And the bathroom? A sanctuary of sleek, dark tiles and luxurious amenities. It was clear that every aspect of the Aida was designed to pamper and enchant.
But beyond the stunning visuals, the service was impeccable. The finest complimentary espresso made my day. The staff were warm, non invasive, and genuinely passionate about ownership. They were knowledgeable about the city, offering insightful recommendations for hidden gems and local hotspots. Genuine hospitality!
The Aida's location is also a major plus. Situated in a vibrant part of Kansas City, it's a stone's throw from incredible restaurants, bars, and cultural attractions. Yet, the hotel itself remains a tranquil oasis, a refuge from the bustle of the city.
If you're seeking a hotel that transcends the ordinary, a place that ignites the imagination and indulges the senses, look no further than the Aida Boutique Hotel. It's a masterpiece of design, a haven of luxury, and a truly unforgettable experience. It's the kind of place you don't just visit; you inhabit, you savor, and you dream of returning to. The Aida has set a new standard for boutique hotels, and I can't wait to lose myself in its shadowed...
Read moreOk I don’t want to be mean or knock a possibly great place. If any other room was available for us to book we would have booked it. This whole place is really cool so even if the only room available is the king room let’s do it. No no no don’t do it. Unless you are like 5’6 and don’t care if you are freezing in your room. We booked a king room 3A to be specific that was the only one available. Which is understandable cause it was Valentine’s day weekend. We tried to upgrade but there were no rooms available. All of this to say I loved the idea but the execution failed. Our room was pretty uncomfortable for us, we aren’t huge but we are tall. Neither of us were able to get under the shower head without having to squat down and turn lengthways to wash. This is a sexy hotel, so a shower should easily fit both people. Omg the robes. Are you kidding me i could not keep mine closed. Robes are supposed to be cozy comfy not uncomfortable. The windows legit froze over. All of this would have been semi ok if we had a heads up. The bed was very comfortable actually and the bedding was great. There was so much potential to the room. Like a mini fridge or some counter space to put snacks or a microwave. None of those things are in the room btws. If you are wondering. There is a communal fridge downstairs near the ice machine. They did offer champagne on one night idk how often they do that. Would I stay here again. Maybe. It would have to be a ground floor suite for sure. I really want to support a local place but idk if this place would be it. The moody colors amazing. The lobby is awesome and I think that the attention to detail was lost after that. At least in our room and experience. This is probably the hardest review I have written. I wanted this place to be so much more but it was not. Maybe they should have rethought the idea and made the rooms on the top floor and made those sitting rooms and made more rooms on the ground floor. We really wanted to love this place but it...
