Breakfast was good - offering both cold and hot items - the selection was limited but filling, though we all (other guests too) had to keep asking for items as they kept running out due to having many patrons. We needed additional towels one evening, and initially were denied and told there were no towels available. We desperately needed new towels (we cleaned up a spill in the room earlier in the day and now had a guest in the room physically ill from a migraine and had hoped to take a bathe/shower with a dry and clean towel) - I had to actually explain why I needed additional towels - after explaining the issue - then I given a few small towels that go on the floor to step on after a shower and were told they were hand towels - when I pointed this out - the front office clerk reluctantly and eventually were provided 2 small bath towels and he did not do so with a smile but made us feel like we were putting him out and really did not deserve the towels. Initially, he literally told us that they did not have any clean towels to give us -- and this was after 9 or 10 pm. I found it hard to believe that they had no clean towels in the entire hotel. Our room had a bit of a musty smell, which I could have over looked, but I guess the whole towel issue and how I was treated was the finally breaking point. We traveled over 8 hours to stay the weekend to visit a sick family member, so we were already stressed and just wanted to have some clean towels for after our showers. Oh, and you need to let the front office know by 8am if you will be needing any room cleaning etc. We found a small piece of paper in the room on the evening of the second day - after the towel issue - stating that information. So, I guess if you are staying - ask when you arrive for clean towels for the next day - just in case you need them. Front Desk was on her cell phone when I was trying to check in, than she placed us right by the elevator she did however move me to a different room but had to get her attention since she was outside smoking. Was waiting to go to the hot tub since there was at least 7-10 people in there and kids going back and forth from pool to the hot tub. When I finally went down there about 7:30 sat down for no more than 5 mins since it was cold and hair and whatever else was floating in it from the kids not being watched by parents who thinks it's a good idea to have alcohol beverages at the hot tub. From the hot tub to the shower I went than I'm ready to just go to sleep and music is so loud I call to front desk and ask when the bar will be closed mind you I'm on the 3rd floor, when I call down she goes oh I was about to call you and let you know the hot tub is open I said no I'm good can you tell me when the bar closes she was like oh 1am I asked if she was serious she said yes we have karaoke I'm like no I was asking because it's loud and I'm trying to sleep oh she said. Seriously not at all what I was expecting well the next day comes I wake up and low and behold my hair is green (NOPE DIDN'T GO IN THE POOL). The front desk clerk for the morning shift goes oh you went in the pool, I'm like no I didn't obviously she was shocked also. She took all the information down and passed it to the GM he then called me and was not apologetic or anything he just goes well I didn't take your points. Your right you won't take my points since it was horrible. He didn't say anything else like is there anything I can do for you just I didn't take your points and bye. Read moreThe only reason they get a 1 is because 0 isn't an option. I went in person in March to reserve a room block for a September wedding. No problem. Until my guests try to start making reservations. One guest was told my block only had king beds no 2 queen bed rooms. Additionally it was cheaper for her to book outside my block with the online rate so she booked outside of my block. I never specified what type of rooms to block. I was never asked. Give my guests what they need. Another guest contacted me when she couldn't use my link because once again, the listed price online was less so she also booked outside my block. I called and spoke to someone who was overall very rude and dismissive. He claimed to be the manager but it took me three attempts to get any kind of response. The right thing for him to do was to honor the price listed online for all of my guests, and I told him that was what I thought. He asked if he could return my call. When he did the online price had gone up and there was nothing he could do. Multiple guests complained about misinformation being given over the phone. Days before my wedding I decided with all the problems I should verify the room for my new husband and I. I'm happy I did because despite my reservations being for a wedding room block with a suite for the bride and groom they did not have a room reserved. The room we stayed in was mediocre at best.
