I really wanted to leave this place a better review but it was very hard to if I'm being honest. I just stayed there for 5 days. I'll start with the good things. The cable was nice with a wide variety of channels. The employees were nice. That is why I gave 1 star. Now let me list the bad. The water pressure for the shower was not good at at all. The water was barely warm. There was duct tape around the air conditioner and their was a cold draft coming through the cracks. I filled out something with the make and model of vehicle that I have and I got a knock on my door at like 10 at night asking me to move my truck because it was parked sideways. I got up and went to check my truck because I knew it was parked normal in a normal parking spot. It wasn't even my truck or even the same color truck. what's the point of filling out the vehicle information then. The worst part of my weekly stay was the fact that it constantly smelled like weed in the hallway and it was very bad in my room. I did complain about it once but it just kept happening. I would get back to my room after working all day and lay down cause I couldn't get any sleep at night with all of the partying and loud noise. The breakfast consists of donuts cereal waffles and some fruit or yogurt and juice and coffee. I guess that's better than nothing. I read a few of the reviews that were good and they are from the employees to make it look like they are getting good reviews. I just feel like if I'm spending $400 I should at least be able to get a good night's rest and not have to deal with people partying and smoking weed constantly. Oh and finally when we were checking out the owner was doing burnouts in the parking lot and then flying up frontage road and back in his BMW to impress the girls that were working there. Not very professional if you ask me. I'm sorry I cannot give a good review especially when I complained twice and nothing was done about it and I wasn't even offered a discount for a night or anything. I was offered a $10 discount If I left a couple good reviews. My advice to anyone that stays there. If u don't want to smel a strong aroma of weed do not stay on the 3rd floor. If u want to get some sleep do not stay on the 3rd floor. That seems to be the...
Read moreWhen we first arrived to the hotel, it was already off to an interesting start. Right off the bat, our group had noticed that there was a couple of people living out of their car in the parking lot. There was a truck that looked like it had been broken down there for a long time and was in severe disrepair. Getting into the building, it took a while for an employee to approach the desk to start checking people in. We got checked in eventually and headed up to our room. As people do, we began looking over our room and noticed a couple of concerning things. A previous guest had mentioned that their door looked like it had been chewed on by a pit bull. I completely agree as our bathroom door was the same and seemed to be rocking on its hinges. The bathroom floor had NOT been swept and there was a small mound of dirt accumulating in the corner by the tub and bathroom wall. There were also many small stains all over the towels, some looking very concerning. Moving to the bedroom, there were stains on the mattress, sheets and pillow cases. The AC seemed to be clean enough, though I did wake up with difficulty breathing after a two night stay. Also, our bedroom door had to be manually pulled shut all the way or it would not shut behind us. The biggest thing to me was that the morning after our first night, I went to use the bathroom and there were BUGS crawling on our toilet paper. BUGS🤢 We met up with the rest of our group and they informed us that they had stayed here the past 2 years for the event we went to and it has never been this bad. They let us know that it took mere seconds to start noticing bad changes that weren’t there in previous years. they had to lift their bedroom door up to be able to shut it. Their AC had duct tape all over it. We were disappointed enough that we will be finding other accommodations in the coming years. I understand that the company has updated the bathrooms/rooms recently, but that doesn’t matter much if the cleanliness is not being up-kept. The staff was nice when we caught glimpses of them and breakfast was honestly better than I thought it would...
Read moreI really dont give bad reviews because I think it is bad practise to talk down a business. In this particular case, the fact that it was Expedia that had to solve my issue (they were fantastic) that is the problem. The front staff at the time was pretty much ready to not let my dog and I stay in a room as they did not have the exact one available on first floor. They told there were rooms available, just not mine. I was happy to pay more, no problem. No alternatives were given or attempts made to accommodate beyond you have call to Expedia. Which essentially meant that if Expedia did not fix it, then I'm out money and a room for my dog and I at 10pm after travelling from Canada. Thank goodness for Expedia, they literally talked to the front staff to arrange for me doing what I had suggested before to the staff, just let me take a different room on the first floor......The fact it had to get that far to me was ridiculous as I have never experienced that with the similar situations in the past....Word to the wise, make sure in your online bookings to specify exactly what you need as a traveller as it looks like the customer care service part is less than satisfactory part. Beyond that though, room was solid :) Still a 1 though for the experience, best of...
