Exceptionally clean, outstanding staff!! As someone who’s fairly picky on hotels, this place FAR exceeded our expectations from a cleanliness and service standpoint, not one negative we could find. Hotel is newer, rooms (including bathrooms) and common areas are SPOTLESS, probably one of the cleanest hotels we’ve stayed in the last five plus years. We had a fishing charter booked a few days later, unfortunately it was showing 90% chance of storms when we were supposed to go, our guide offered at 7pm to reschedule us for 4am the next morning. We packed our bags in a hurry and started our four hour drive, with no hotel booked. It was state fair weekend (which we didn’t realize) and not much was available as far as rooms. Javier the manager was not only able to help us book the rooms and nights we needed, he was also able to get us connecting rooms so we could keep an eye on my nephew who was recently diagnosed with cancer and in treatment. We arrived after midnight, was able to quickly check in, staff was friendly.
The hotel is located next to an arcade/go cart/ goofy golfing business, the kids had a great time there. We purchased $100 in arcade dollars (we received a “extra” $65 automatically) split four ways and it was by far the “furthest” our money has went in terms of arcades. Our kids played for what seemed like forever, us parents were ready to go long before they exhausted their “funds”. We’ve been to the Dells and Dave and Busters, our two older kids can go through $100 in 20 minutes. We had four kids and they all played for well over an hour with little time in between.
There’s a great restaurant with an amazing salad bar next door that you can walk to, my husband still talks about it.
Breakfast was great, and the area was always clean, for the amount of people served, they did a great job of keeping the tables cleared and food stocked.
This is one of the few hotels that we truly couldn’t find any fault with, it’s clear the management here cares not only about the guests, but the staff were all exceptionally friendly and happy (which says a lot about how it’s managed). I wouldn’t think twice about booking this hotel, you’ll be happy you did. We’re already making plans to return on quick...
Read moreThis hotel is phenomenal! I stay here often to visit with my grandkids, usually 3-4 times per year, a week or more at a time. The biggest factor that constitutes this 5-star rating is the service level of the staff. I am ALWAYS treated with courtesy and respect. Whether it's getting fresh towels, prompt check in, early check in or late check out due to being a Marriott Rewards member, or having food available for breakfast, I have had a great experience.
Speaking of breakfast...shoutout to the staff member who cooks and provides this. I pretty much see her almost every day. She always has it ready on time (early in the morning). And, if something runs out, you just let her know, and she promptly replenishes that item.
I work remotely and am often down in the common eating area for several hours at a time. The staff will come by and take my plates/trash, offer me coffee, or anything else I might need. Like I said, they treat you with respect, and I feel welcomed like a guest should.
The rooms are clean and spacious, and the workout room has everything I need. The only thing, if I had to pick something, that might be a critique is that the pool is a little small. But nonetheless, at least there is a pool, and that is a minor inconvenience compared to the overwhelming positives for the rest of the place.
I fully recommend staying here. (Plus, the location is great. Right off 94 and close to all of the places to eat. And for kids, it's literally right next to Action...
Read moreWe recently stayed at the SpringHill Suites for a wedding and reserved two rooms for our family. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected. Upon arrival, we discovered that the air conditioning in one room wasn’t functioning properly. When we brought this to the front desk’s attention, we were told to simply "give it time" to cool. After multiple calls and growing discomfort, we were eventually informed that the hotel was fully booked and no alternative rooms were available. Maintenance was sent to address the issue, but when we returned later that evening from a wedding event, the room was unbearably hotter than before.||We were finally offered a room change at midnight or the next morning—far too late to salvage a comfortable night’s rest. To make matters worse, the hallways throughout the hotel were stifling, with no air conditioning and no clear explanation from the staff. Despite my repeated attempts to speak with a manager on both days of our stay, I was told that no manager was on duty either day. Only after persistently pressing the front desk did someone admit they had contacted maintenance about the hallway issue—on the very day we were checking out.||After returning home, I was finally able to reach a manager regarding a possible refund for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, instead of understanding or empathy, I was met with dismissiveness and rudeness. The experience left much to be desired, and I cannot recommend this location based...
