On the weekend of my wedding, my family and I stayed here. My reservation was 2 nights 6/28/2024 - 6/30/2024, but the situation was so unsanitary and unsafe, I only stayed 1 night.
1 out of 3 rooms (216) had bugs flying out the sink and a random stranger was able to open the door on me while my family member was brushing their teeth. The floor boards were also broken and cracked between the sink and bathroom. The staff didn't really do much but give us room 151 for 216 which upon initial inspection was found to be wide open and not closed or locked. When i tried to call the front desk in room 151, the phone was not working. After investigating, i found that it was not plugged in. So i had to plug it in and then call the front desk.
The 2nd room, 224 isn't really secure because the door panel latch is quite literally falling off but being held on 1 loose screw on the bottom.
My last room (228) smelled like smoke when its a no smoking hotel. The floor boards were also broken in 228. The front desk also sprayed a masking scent in 228 to hide the smell, that did nothing. The smoke smell was still there. There is a hole in the bathroom of 228 behind the bathroom door.
Additionally maintenance never came after we were promised staff or maintenence to amend the issues in 224 and 228 after 15 minutes. Ultimately we had to go to the front desk a 2nd time to ensure changes due to no staff response in the promised alotted time. Eventually, Sai and another employee came and sprayed the room and witnessed the bugs flying out of the sink to move us to a different room.
When I checked out, my husband and I voiced our concerns to the front desk Andrea and was told the manager would reach out to us. We never got a call back and it took me a week of calling to get a hold of the manager. The front desk would let me know when the manager Sam is in, but he would not be available when I called even after leaving a message to be relayed. One time of attempting to reach Sam, Andrea promised my husband and I a reimbursement of my stay and told me to wait 3-5 business days. We did not receive one.
When I did get a hold of Sam, it was stated that I should have emailed the hotel with the complaint including any pictures. I was not informed to email my complaints at all and thought voicing my concerns to the front desk was sufficient. Sam also mentioned that the front desk did not add any notes or comments about my reservation complaints, so he would have to talk to Andrea. When I mentioned Sai, Sam stated that a Sai did not even work at the hotel. I gave Sam a week to talk to Andrea about my stay and called back. Sai was the one who picked up the phone and asked why I wanted to talk to Sam. I summarized the situation, he relayed it to Sam. Sai told me that Sam told him that Andrea has Covid-19 and would not be able to touch base with her until 4 days later and they would call me back. I left my name and number. I also requested Sai to document my concerns either on paper or the reservation itself and he responded with he "will try".
I am starting to feel led on, going in circles, and can never reach the manager at this Days Inn team and do not appreciate my concerns not being taken seriously. I would like a...
Read moreService overall was pretty bad. When I checked in I got moved to a king room when I had booked a room with two double beds and I wasn’t even notified. I found out when I got into the room so I went back downstairs to try to get into the correct room because I needed two beds and receptionist said, “There are two beds because the sofa is a pullout.” No, that doesn’t work. Neither myself nor my mother are going to be sleeping on a pullout bed when we were there for an athletic competition for myself and my mother has medical conditions. It took them an hour to clean a room for us. There was also a family of four that came in a little bit before I was able to go to my room that had booked the same type of room we did. I hope they were given a room but I honestly don’t know because the staff made it seem like I got the very last available two double bed room.
They also put someone that is bound to a wheelchair upstairs despite there being no elevator, so they also aren’t ADA compliant.
The floors were visibly dirty in the lobby, hallway, and room. I wore shoes and socks even in the hotel room except in bed and in the shower. I also didn’t leave my clothes anywhere except in my suitcase because I didn’t want my clothes touching any of the shelves (there wasn’t a dresser anywhere). They only provided two bath towels and one washcloth for a room that can sleep 4 people. When we asked for more (because my mother and I both use a separate towel for our hair when we shower), the front desk person refused until he verified we were in a room that slept more than 2 people.
At least the room wasn’t tiny and we were fairly close to where we needed to be. There was only one employee that seemed to care about the customers and I only saw her one day.
The last day I was there, there was a line of people at the receptionist desk and both employees were outside (smoking I guess?) and so we all had to wait extra long because they didn’t stagger their breaks. At one point someone went and got an employee because the line had gotten so long.
There was also a party in some room that required the police to break up, so I guess that’s the kind of guests that regularly stay here.
I would not stay here again nor would I recommend...
Read moreI don't know why many of the reviews have low scores, but I really think it's great! Because the service attitude is very good, the lady at the front desk is very patient and enthusiastic. She told me about the internet, breakfast time, room location, and helped my tired body relax after a day of traveling. The room was very well maintained, with no bugs or unpleasant smells. The bathroom, despite its small space, was clean and tidy. The sink in the bathroom was very convenient, and it didn't feel crowded even when there were many people. I chose a double bed room, and the mattress was very comfortable and didn't sink at all. What I loved the most was the breakfast area. It was super clean and well-organized, with clear divisions. From left to right, there were a beverage machine, a coffee machine, sugar packets, cups, straws, and neatly arranged chocolate circles, cupcake, sliced bread, bagels, etc. in a transparent box. Moving further, there was a yellow bottle with three layers of utensils (forks, spoons, and knives), colorful cereal for children, plates, and bowls. This was the thing that surprised me the most!! There were actually hot sausages and hot eggs to eat. I really liked this place. I haven't found these two things at many other places. There was also a small refrigerator nearby with yogurt and milk for you to enjoy at will. Turning around, there was the main attraction!! The hot waffle machine. I chose this place because they have two waffle machines. One can make four small waffles, and the other can make one large waffle. The most amazing thing is that it's very fast, and I was able to enjoy my long-awaited waffles very quickly. There was a waffle-making machine next to it. I really love it. I also met a very kind elderly person who chatted happily with me. The people here are very...
