The hotel staff service was adequate; they were pleasant but not great. The hotel was quite basic and sparsely equipped in the room and felt very low budget. Pillows were tiny, towels (1 per person were cheap and small). Soap, and toiletries were low quality and just afixed to the walls like a community gym or something- hate that! Only cheap small plastic cups, no glasses in the rooms. No blanket on the bed - only a sheet and thin cheap lightweight coverlet. Worst of all though was the mind numbing shockingly loud constant noise from the highway adjacent to the building. I specifically requested a QUIET ROOM LOCATION. I requested a top floor corner room in a quiet location for maximum quiet and peaceful stay. We were on the top floor yet right next to the freeway. We’ve stayed in 100s of hotels near busy locations around the globe, yet never as loud as this one?! It must be due to poor quality construction and zero sound insulation, I don’t know…. We just know it was a long miserable night with no sound sleep and felt like we were sleeping ON THE FREEWAY?! 😳😩 Nope- we’d never stay here or another similar hotel again. I’m wondering if perhaps the overall quality of “CHOICE hotels “ is one to avoid in the future when choosing decent accommodation… I was too exhausted, annoyed and busy to get to an important meeting to discuss the plethora unpleasantness with any hotel staff. If Choice wants my future consideration of staying anywhere in the future, you can start by processing a FULL APOLOGY & REFUND for the terribly uncomfortable stay . If this feedback is received with serious concern, interest and proactive responsiveness, I’d reconsider giving another CHOICE hotel some consideration when booking accommodation in the future. I hope to receive a timely response, compensation and reassurance that this hotel isn’t representative of your...
Read moreMy most recent stay here was from 10/9/19-10/14/19. Prior to this visit, I hadn't stayed at this hotel for over 4 years since I moved to AZ. They definitely renovated it since my last stay. The hotel is very clean and even smells pleasant. I asked for a room that was either on the top floor or away from noise because I am a light sleeper, and the very nice front desk employee (I really wish I remembered his name) put my wife and I into room 300 which was at the very end of the hall, corner of the building, and top floor. We had no issues with noise, including any from next door guests. There was a stairwell right outside our room so it was easy to go in and out of the hotel. The breakfast was good and adequate. For anyone who is unsatisfied with the breakfast, just remember it is included in your rate, and it isn't supposed to be anything fancy. Location is also ideal. Right by I-94, so you can easily go toward Chicago or Milwaukee. Many restaurants arenearby and a Woodman's grocery store is just a short 2 min drive away.
Highlight: There was a fire incident on the 2nd floor at about 12 to 1 AM on 10/14/19. My wife had woken me up due to hearing the fire alarm coming from the halls (even the fire alarm sounded faint and muffled while we were in our room, so I would say the rooms are fairly sound proof). When we got to the 1st floor, the employee who was working the front desk that night was running frantically and making sure all guests were evacuating and safe. While we were all waiting outside in the cold in the parking lot until the police/fire dept said it was safe to go inside, she was going around offering blankets to everyone. This is someone who truly cares and makes their guests' safety their priority. I cannot say enough good things about...
Read moreI stayed here with my family for the holidays recently, this location was perfect between Kenosha and Chicago; so we could go to both parades and my kids could have fun dancing and celebrating their heritage. All the housekeeping were absolutely lovely, we loved speaking with them in Spanish, we don't get to do that too much anymore nowadays. It was a breath of fresh air anytime we walked into the hotel with all the smiles and welcomes we got. The breakfast was absolutely perfect! It tasted so good we might just have to stay again just to have Sarah's amazing food. All of the people at front desk were always so wonderful and they would be patient with my papi who struggled with English at times. Mistydawn tried her best and even tho she says she speaks little Spanish, she was able to hold a decent conversation with us! Later on in the evening tho, we had noticed another person behind the desk who always seemed to be sitting down and on her phone. She was limping when she moved so I understand needing to sit down, but being on her phone as much as she was was not only disrespectful towards us as guests or anyone at that matter but especially to her coworkers who had to do everything almost. We sat in the lobby waiting for our ride and she would answer the phone every once in awhile and would stand up a few times to greet guests and then right back down to her phone . I hope the managers see this and commend misty for all the hard work she does. Always with a smile on her face, and willing to learn another language to help other guests is always an amazing feat. So proud of her!! We will be coming back in the future to stay and will be waiting to see her again and see what more she...
