The service my family received was the worst I've ever experienced in my life, and I believe it has to do with racism. The hostess sat us down, and the waitress didn't come for 10 minutes, so the hostess ended up taking our drink order. Then 15 minutes later, our waitress finally showed up to take our order. Mind you, we were the only table in her section. It was 3:30, so it wasn't busy at all.

Two couples showed up, and their drink orders were taken about 5 minutes after they were seated. Slowly each table got their food while we were still waiting. It was about 30 minutes later, and both of the tables received their food. One of the groups showed up about 10 minutes after we ordered our meals, and they somehow had their food brought out to them while we were still waiting. In this 40 minute time span, we would've appreciated at least getting our drinks refilled because they were empty (the ice even melted) or at least getting our basket of biscuits. The other tables received those while they were waiting for their food.

It was difficult not to get frustrated seeing every table receive their food while my family was still waiting even though we ordered way before they even arrived. I asked our waitress how much longer it would take and why the other tables received everything already, and all she said was "I'm trying my best" as she walks away from us. Not even a simple apology or the courtesy to stop and listen to my question.

After about 45 minutes, we finally received our food from the hostess, and the food was dry and had a dry film over it, so it's obvious that the food was just sitting under the warmer, and she wouldn't bring it out. She never once apologized or at least explained why we needed to wait 45 minutes or watch everyone else receive their food before us.

The server's name was Brooklyn, and I can't understand why this happened. The only thing I can think of is racial motive. We were the only nonwhite people. If I could give 0 stars, I would. This was a frustrating and terrible end...

Northernized Southern comfort food. We come here every spring. I think I actually enjoy Cracker Barrel more because it seems to be tradition, rather than for the food it offers. In 2025 I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken. Which is basically the same thing as the Homestyle Chicken, it just has gravy on it. I remember the chicken being better, but generally most boneless breaded chicken fillets work well with me. The mashed potatoes were unenjoyable. They're mashed, but my batch had been chilled and then barely reheated. The fried apples weren't as great as I remembered either. To the contrary the broccoli was done perfectly. *noted in my older review that I had a sugar glazed ham in my Sampler Plate. On the current menu the ham is no longer a selectable option for that. Our server was a younger lady who did a nice job and said all the right things, but I could tell from her body language that she just wanted to be left alone. I can certainly understand that. We always spend some time in the attached shoppe. It's a nice place to browse, but it's all overpriced and nothing really worth buying. Original review from 2021 I ordered the Sampler plate which came with Sugar Glazed Ham, Meatloaf and Chicken and Dumplings. All entrees were acceptable in terms of taste and quality, but nothing terribly special. The plate also came with 3 side dishes which I did think was generous but like the main course, nothing here was terribly special either. Service here was above average and I did like wandering around their attached shoppe. The southern theme was cool and the rocking chairs were a nice touch as well. I would return to a CB if the time and...

I frequent this location due to its location between work and home. The service has been declining over the last couple of years. Upon arrival, the hostess had issues getting her system to work to get me a table. She called a long-time server to ask for assistance. She asked me if I'd like a breakfast, lunch, or dinner menu. I let her know I didn't need a menu as I knew what I'd be ordering. I was seated at a table. While waiting for a server, another table was seated across from me. I waited approximately 20 minutes before anyone spoke to me and I had to ask the server assisting the table that arrived after me who my server was. During this time, I saw about 4 servers and the hostess looking in on the dining area. The server apologized that he didn't know I wasn't being helped since I didn't have a menu. (I'm not sure why I needed a menu for someone to realize I was sitting with nothing for so long.) It took approximately 20 minutes to get my Chicken & Dumplings. The only time the server was out of the kitchen was to deliver food to a table. Never once did he touch the table to see how my food was or if I needed a refill. I had to stop him to ask for a soda refill twice and again to get my check. He blamed that I was playing a game on my phone so he didn't stop (what else was I to do while I waited about another 20 minutes for a drink and the check?). I don't know what kind of excitement was going on in that kitchen, but he wasn't leaving it until he had to. I think I will look at other local restaurants for what I thought would be a quick...

The host area felt a bit chaotic when we arrived around 1 pm. They were using a notebook for names, told us about 25 minutes, and 35 minutes later we still weren’t called because my name, the last one on the notepad, never got entered into their computer system. The host fixed it right away and kindly seated us. Our server was polite though clearly overwhelmed, and we never got the biscuits and cornbread. The food was very good. I had chicken tenders with hashbrown casserole, mac and cheese, and three dipping sauces, which was great. My husband had the breakfast platter with pancakes, fried apples, and sides. The pancakes were excellent as always and the hashbrown casserole here is my favorite. The store was full of cute Halloween decorations, some pricey but beautiful. I loved the 99 cent seasonal salt and pepper shakers and picked up both Halloween and Thanksgiving sets. The Frankenstein Hello Kitty was $25 and animated, which was fun to see. The cashier was the best part of the visit. He explained the rewards program so well that I finally signed up after visiting Cracker Barrel many times in different states. Overall, I would return. The wait and stress seemed more like staffing issues, not the fault of the polite employees, and I hope they have more support next time.

Stopped in for the fish fry. It was really good. The biscuits and cornbread were hot and fresh. We had an excellent waiter. His name was Jordan. I would absolutely suggest asking for him if you go in Amazing service, seems to truly care about his job and the company he’s representing. His timing was great. His attitude was great. He is patient. He knows the menu and understands what the customers are asking for. He was right on top of everything. It wasn’t just our table that he handled well, it was all of his tables. Too bad he can’t be cloned to Hostess as well. We want it to be seated by the fireplace at the empty table, but we were told we had to sit where the person hosting assigned us-right where the bright windows were shining in our faces. Thankfully, a set of customers seated near the window, lowered the blinds for us and that helped. The pancakes had a burnt flavor and smell to them unfortunately. Does the kitchen have the grill turned up to high or are they understaffed? The shop was clean and they had some items on sale, but the line was very long and and there was no one helping the cashier clear it. Our waiter made up for every unpleasant part of our visit. We would return simply based on him. I doubled my 20% tip. I wish I could’ve left it in cash.
