Fairfield Inn & Suites Kokomo — Hotel in Kokomo

We decided to stay here because it looked brand new and pictures were nice. It was a little pricey for Kokomo, IN but we didn’t care as long as it was nice. First and foremost, staff was great! Very friendly. However, I would expect a much nicer place for $200/night. It appears to be brand new, but everything is soooo cheaply done (even down to the concrete in the parking lot). There were cigarette butts everywhere. Cracks and chunks missing out of the concrete everywhere. Everywhere you looked, the concrete was busted up. The pillows were awful and as soon as you laid on them, were flat. There were clothes piled up in the floor of the closet. Onion peels (yes onion) and trash in the drawers. The doors slammed every single time someone opened and closed them. I’m talking slammed. There was a sprinkler system on the ceiling in the middle of the room that flashed a bright light every 10 seconds. Literally, the entire time. Overall, very disappointed in the quality...

We stayed here for a wedding with a big group of childhood friends. We were told we can to go into the conference room when we got back from the wedding. It was very loud and late at night, but we never received a warning until someone from the staff came in the room and immediately started yelling at us to “shut it down now”. I completely understand that it was far too loud and late at night, but kindness does go a long way. This staff member was very rude to us. This unprofessional behavior carried on to the next morning as well, when we were all leaving he was gossiping about us and talking badly about us at the front desk the whole morning. This is extremely unprofessional and a bad look for the hotel. Under no circumstance would I talk badly about guests in the lobby of my place of work- especially when said guests...

Took a bit to check in as clerk was away from the desk helping another guest in their room. No issue, it happens, but with better staffing it wouldn't have. Our room the pillows were very flat and in disarray when we walked in(see pic). Also, table topper misc weren't neatly placed, and curtains disconnected at top so light came in. There was a HAIR on the wall of the shower that wasn't mine, and I was the first shower.

Only one night, and we've stayed in worse. But also stayed in much better and this place was new. Expected different, but still...
