Sakura Sushi & Grill — Restaurant in LaGrange

I can't deny the food was decent. We came in around 9, about an hour and a half before they closed. The entire restaurant is very open with a japanese inspired setting. The Gyoza was good, the hibachi chicken was ok. My partner got the sushi and she liked it. So everything was ok but the service was below standards. The waitresses seemed very rushed, our meal came out of order. Usually we would get salads/soup, apps then entree. We got the salad/soups immediately after ordering. Then not even 2 minutes later she got her sushi, then after about 5 minutes my chicken. We had to remind our waitress about our Gyoza which we had to wait another 5 minutes for. The waitress we had checked in on us once we had to flag her down again and again to get all of the sauces we requested at the beginning. Then finally after paying for our meal we had no farewell greetings even after I told them to have a goodnight. That for me just shows lack of attention to the customer.

This could very well be just a mishap or a bad day for the restaurant and I just happened to experience this. I would recommend anyone to give this a try for the Gyoza and sushi. It was decent food for a decent price. Just hopefully you catch the service...

Horrible experience waitress was very nice and polite though. First we show up 1 hr 15 mins before close and they say we are out of sweet tea and will not be making anymore tonight!! Ok so we move on we order our food, our tuna comes out missing green onion and sesame seeds. We dont say anything we just eat it. Then our sushi roll comes out missing cream cheese, the waitress catches it takes it back to the kitchen and the chef says they ran out of cream cheese. So we just so happened to be looking at the chef and there he is taking the cream cheese out of the glass case where everything is stationed for viewing. So we tell the waitress we seen the chef hide the cream cheese and let her know we are unhappy, but also say it's not your fault your doing good. While we sat there waiting for our food the chef drinks beer, laughs and mingles with others. Maybe if he focused on the food this place would satisfy customers, we will never return nor reccomend to anyone. Save yourself time and a headache try another place. McDonald's, Burger King...

Went there with family for Mothers Day with my husband and son. My son and I ordered hibachi, husband ordered a dragon roll. We got our soup and salad fairly quickly, then our hibachi dinners were brought out shortly after. Waitress said hubby’s sushi would be right out. Half way through eating, hubby still had no food. Waitress apologized and said it would be right out that they had made a to go order first (No one was even waiting inside for a to go order) 5-10 minutes after my son and I finished our meal, the waitress came out and offered something else to my husband. He said he was fine just to just take it off our bill. She said she would give us a discount or something since hubby had to leave without eating. Manager denied the discount. Didn’t even come over and speak to us. We will not be back! Would NOT recommend....
