The Bottle Shop — Restaurant in Lake Geneva

This is one my favorite places to visit. Please just walk in the front door, I passed this place many times before I did. You walk into a very friendly and knowledgeable staff and that has a great global wine selection, beer and spirits.

The place is fascinating because it has many cozy rooms to sit and have a conversation, play a board game or quietly sit read a book in an overstuffed chair all with a glass of wine. I’ve sat outside in their courtyard and listened live music with fresh air and sunshine. They have an efficient tasty group of cheese plates to compliment wine or beer.

The owner (Beth) is always there, and drives this spirit, as a business owner I appreciate her efforts. She hires a staff that enjoys working there, you can tell by the frequent smiles.

My favorite place in Lake Geneva to hang out and relax whether it’s with my husband or friends. We always seem to meet and enjoy the other patrons as well. The atmosphere is what one would expect if you were on a vacation in Europe. Just plain fun. There are many wines to choose from and the staff is so genuinely friendly. As far as the mask comment in a previous review....I’ve seen the staff wearing them many times. I’m sure the owner probably was trying to say that at this point she respects that people will be responsible and do what they feel is right to do. If you are in a restaurant or wine bar a mask would likely have to come off in order to eat or drink. There is also an outdoor area that one can enjoy with social distancing if that is more comfortable. Basically without a debate about the masks I think the owner is absolutely willing to accommodate all of her patrons....

Loved, loved, loved it. We went yesterday and they had live music, patio is large and tables are comfortably spaced apart. Wine and whiskey flight was nice and had a great amount of wine or liquor. We grabbed some cranky pretzels and wine cheese spread with crackers and hung out for a few hours. Best part..our puppy was welcomed! The server brought her a bowl of water and some treats. She even gave her her own chair because she is so spoiled that she won't settle on the ground. Most people that came in talked to her for a few. I think she made more friends than we did. The prices are amazing. The owner was at the front register and was personable and friendly. Our server was really pleasant and attentive, she took really good care of us.
