I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Blue Jay Inn in Lava Hot Springs, and it was an excellent experience. I arrived in town late and was in need of a place to stay. After calling a few hotels, I came across Blue Jay Inn, and I am glad I did. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Despite it being a boutique hotel, they were fully booked, but I was lucky enough to snag a room #3. At first glance, the room seemed a little small, but it’s perfect for 1-2 people. It was also nicely decorated, and you could tell that the room had been recently renovated. The bed was comfortable, and the sheets were fresh and clean. The flooring, shower, and tile all looked new and made with a nice touch. It was evident that they had invested in the room and not just painted over everything. The location of the hotel is perfect for those looking to explore the town. Most restaurants are within walking distance, and it's not too far from the hot springs. In fact, the staff even provided me with a towel for the hot springs. Overall, I highly recommend the Blue Jay Inn to anyone visiting Lava Hot Springs. The staff is friendly, the rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated, and the location is perfect for exploring the town. I will definitely be staying there again on my next visit!

I recently had the honor of meeting the owner of the lava hot springs, Idaho's Blue Jay Inn. I was very pleasantly suprised with the new remodels of these rooms and how much the color code opens the rooms up to feel cozy and comfortable. They are also available to get a room then you may think I got one when the whole town was sold out today and then I booked 3 rooms for the 13th of august to the 15th for family activities. The river tubing start point is only 2 blocks from the location of the blue Jay inn and the chuck wagon is directly next door for dining. I rarely give out 5 stars you have to earn it. There is connecting rooms and living rooms and a kitchen with everything but a dishwasher and a hot plate. The owners are doing something special here and I for one support it. Check out the pictures and this is not even the nicest room this is room #5.

This place stands head and shoulders above all others in Lava Hot Springs, and most other stays I've ever been in. It's crystal clear that thought and care went into each and every detail throughout our stay. It wasn't just new - it was clean, and crisp, and felt like absolute luxury. The owners have an eye for quality, a passion for service, and a dedication to making you enjoy your stay. It was an absolute breath of fresh air that helped us focus on relaxing and enjoying our time away from our daily grind. If I were to sum it up in one word: classy. The people who run this place clearly have massive amounts of class, and the owners of lots of other establishments around this town should take note. Have some class, and your clients/customers will adore you as I adore these owners for making our time in Lava Hot Springs, just a little more special.

We enjoyed our stay here. The only criticisms I had were the fact they double booked our room, the pillows were uncomfortable and the shower head spray was bad. So nothing terrible enough to keep us from coming back here. Like I said, overall we did like our experience here. But because our room was double booked (even though we booked a long time ago in anticipation of the Fourth of July being busy and booked up months in advance) we did have to take a room with a smaller bed for my husband and I. The location of the room we got was actually pretty great though, it just had too small of beds for us. Since we didn't sleep well, we were sooo tired that we didn't get to do everything we had planned with our kid. Which, if it was just the hubby and I we wouldn't have minded so much, but we had our kid who missed out. And coffee did nothing. It really is hard to enjoy yourself when after you travel so far to get there and you can't sleep. To compensate us we got a free sweater from their gift shop....So not sure that really compensated for us not sleeping and being too tired to do a whole lot, but overall it was a nice place and we enjoyed it. It was clean and updated. They had plenty of places outside to sit and hang out and listen to music. The location is in a good spot so we were able to walk pretty much everywhere. It had a good sized fridge which is always a plus. I really liked that the room had ceiling fans. The woman working the front desk was really awesome and wanted to give her a shout-out. Sorry I can't remember your name, we met so many people. They sold mimosas at the front desk which I thought was a cool touch. And they had a cute little gift shop as well. They even offered cornhole to play upon request. We were able to sit outside the hotel and watch the fireworks with a good view. That was awesome. So overall it was a nice stay and we would definitely stay...

Best location, best rooms, best staff and pretty much the best of lava. This place is located right in the heart of lava and within walking distance to everything. Our friends were staying at the koa holiday and we walked back and forth a few times a day with no problem. We also walked to the hot springs, grocery store, restaurants and every little shop in town. The rooms are brand new and decorated very nicely. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and having a fridge/freezer was great for keeping ice, leftovers, drinks and snacks in. Kitchen also has a coffee maker, microwave and sink. Our room also had a/c, ceiling fans, smart tv and the wifi was great and never had an issue (we didn’t use it a ton but some “work from home” took place and it was great). The little gift shop was so cute and the chocolate fruit Kabobs were so good. We bought a couple of the hoodies with their cool logo to represent and get their name out there. Everyone working there was so great and we felt right at home instantly. We can’t wait for...
