Lava Waffle — Restaurant in Lava Hot Springs

I didn't have a good experience here at all. When my family and I approached the order window to place our order, the young girl decided to close the window to count her cash tips. We could see at least four other employees around her. I realized it was just after 3pm which meant it was probably around shift change, so counting out the register was understandable, however there are two ordering window's and two registers, why you wouldn't have the other open at shift change I don't know. After a few minutes a different employee opened the window and took our order. She was polite and explained some of the toppings had sold out (no big deal) we ordered 3 waffles and paid with a card. I realized I didn't leave a tip so I asked if they could break a $20. The girl counting money replied with a see you next Tuesday response of "WHAT! what do you want" change of a $20 so I can tip your ignorant, ungrateful a$$ is what I should have said but did not. Yummy and open way past everyone on a Sunday night! We stopped by here at 8:00 on a Sunday night. We are obviously visitors to Lava and didn’t realize all food places close early and if they weren’t closed we got turned away due to low staff/no help. EXEPT FOR LAVA WAFFLE! WHOOT WHOOT! They were great. The ladies were quick and helpful. The soda is a great $3 value and we got the big red waffle? The one with strawberries and raspberries as well and the sunshine one. The waffles are delicious! My problem lies with a few things. The first being the time they open. Google said 8am, when we arrived they had their open sign (not by the window but near Main street) illuminated as open. Then had a chalkboard sign saying 9am and they were closed still. We went to a park and waited the hour.
