I wish I had spoken to the staff prior to tubing on the river. I’m not even their customer and I’m leaving this review. The river was extremely fast with high water levels. Myself and sister in law got stuck between a few large rocks which led to injuries to my foot and leg. We had to pull ourselves from the river, and climb up a hill, unfortunately there was no way out other than what appeared to be someone’s backyard. We climbed over the fence and began exiting the property when we were greeted by a very nice man. Turns out this was infact a business and it was TPD tube rentals, which we later found out was a family owned and operated business. The man was extremely patient and kind, even as we were trespassing on his land. He was understanding and provided first aid as I was bleeding pretty good from my foot and leg. He not only helped tend to my wounds, he gave us advice regarding the river and how to best safely navigate the rapid running waters. He did not try and push us to rent any of his tubes, he only wanted to give us information to keep us safe. TPD was easy to find, just below the parking lot where you enter the river, and less expensive than some of the other options. We parked in the public parking across the street and it took about 15 minutes for him to explain how to float the river and check us out. We followed his recommendations on where to put in, seat assignments in the tubes, and things to watch out for. We were able to complete 4 round trips using the shuttle during a 2 hour rental with 4 young kids. The 4 person tube was "less fun" than a 2 person tube according to my wife, but I really appreciated how stable it was and how well it resisted flipping over with a big guy like me and 3 young kids on it.
