Perfect place to spend our anniversary! We arrived at Bristol Cabins after dark (not recommended but it worked out fine) in time to soak at the Hot Springs (very much recommended) & stayed in adorable Cabin #4, built in 1924. Imagine our surprise when we woke up to a lovely view of a river, lots of vegetation, and a train in the distance. AnnaLeigh, the super-charming owner, gave us breakfast and local sightseeing tips. Make sure you buy some of her homemade soap – it's wonderful too! When she found out that we were musicians, she invited us to play an impromptu concert on the office's front porch for a few guests and staff members. Such a nice way to spend the morning. Take time to walk around the grounds and see the old stagecoach stop buildings, dating back to the 1880s. We hope to return someday to see the fun updates and renovations AnnaLeigh has planned. So do yourself a favor – skip the traditional hotel and do something different. Stay in a piece of history and support a small local business that's also a family tradition. You'll be glad you did!

I absolutely fell in love with this place. It instantly makes you feel at home and peace . The cabins are so amazing. Perfect little place to relax and enjoy nature:) the people who run this are kind and welcoming. They provide a breakfast that is amazing. And the coffee ☕️ yummy:) We got here in the evening with a rainstorm. It was so nice to sit down and listen to the storm and smell the rain . I absolutely loved it . If you are looking for a laid back experience. With the understanding this is a old mining town structure and the cabins and rooms are old cabins from when they were mining . It is an absolute awesome experience. And the hot springs are not too far to soak in . Beautiful place . 10 out of 10 I recommend:)

We were so happy to find this interesting place to stay. It's tucked behind a camp ground off the main road over a bridge with a beautiful river. The cabins have a nice bed and are set in the prettiest mountainside. The bathroom is large and cozy, they have a cute kitchen and even serve you breakfast the next day. Plus the little town is walkable from the cabins and a great place to check out. There is a public hot springs park, river tubing rentals and places to eat. There's also a nice grocery store in town. Highly recommend!

The first night our small group stayed in the cabins was incredible. We were checked in by friends of the owners and felt immediately welcome. That night we planned on many future trips. The next morning wasn't as great.

We were told that breakfast would be served but none was ever provided. One of the members of our group got up around 9 am and was hanging out in the kitchen for about an hour and was never offered any food. Another group member was told by the female owner "I guess I should start cooking" but the woman disappeared after that.. not a huge deal but it shouldn't have to be a favor to ask for breakfast if it was included in the price. Also, Colin- the male owner, was very rude to my wife. She was playing with some kittens near the work shop (like all the guests had been doing since the night before) and one of the dogs spooked the cats inside the shop. While she was playing peek-a-boo to get them to come back out, she was spotted by Colin, and he gave her a dirty look and immediately walked straight to the door and promptly shut it without making any eye contact with her and walked off mumbling. That door had literally been open all night.. (see photo).. there was no reason to treat her like she did something wrong. It made her so uncomfortable that we decided not to stay another night, like we had been discussing. Such a shame too.

We will probably give them another chance to get 5 stars but I hope next time to leave with smiles. I've wanted to come back for a long weekend but their lack of response to our concerns has made it a bit...

Upon checking in seeing it was going to be warm outside called to see if they had ac in the little cabins, no but said they had a fan. The photos made it look like it was bigger and more spread out but in fact it was so much smaller property than shown. First off our cabin smelled like weed. It was HORRIBLE!! The fan was more like a desk fan! The vibe was hippie no worries not our style. But the pot smelling room and their attempt to cover up the smell with patchouly oil combine to make it an overwhelming smell caused us to have headaches and had to leave only a few hours after checking in. Even after we asked to change cabins the host never got back to us! Watching other people/families check in seemed to also be uncomfortable withe their rooms and even called looking for other places to stay. Other dogs were on a leash but the host’s dog roamed around free barked at other dogs. This property is mainly walking up/ climbing stairs. Watch your hands on the wooden handrails. Parking was steep and loose gavel. 2WD better gun it to make it up the hill. Recommendations,...
