The Shack — Restaurant in Lava Hot Springs

Got a cheeseburger and said no pickles and no onions and got it with pickles and onions and when we told them the girl looked annoyed and a couple minutes later they called our name again. (Originally took like 20 min to get our food) they definitely had an old one or just scraped off the unwanted stuff because I still tasted pickle juice on the burger. Also random mushroom, food was ok not bad but since my burger wasn't hardly warm (the bun was hot the burger was almost cold) it wasn't the best. Definitely won't be coming back. Outside atmosphere is always nice but also that's the only option. Drinks came out fast at least. Family's food took forever but they had more but still other people came after and got their food before the rest...

We came here in the past few years and have always had a good experience with a good value for the food. The food this time was very mediocre, and that’s being nice. We know the cost of food has skyrocketed since 2020, but this seems a little out of proportion. I noticed that there is a for sale sign on The Shack. Hopefully some new owners can figure it out, because it is a fun spot for sure.

We ordered Beef Nachos, Kids Meal Hot Dog, Chicken Quesadilla, Chicken Tacos, 2 orders of fries. The fries, IMO, were the best thing this time. Their menu states that the breakfast is served all day; I was gonna order the breakfast burrito, she said that they were held over from breakfast, to which I declined to have a near 12 hour...

if i could do zero stars. i would. this place has just been nothing but problems the 2 times ive been here, day one, ordered a BACON cheese burger, wait was long but understood because it was busy... only to find out THERE'S NO bacon. hm.. pretty weird for a bacon cheeseburger. why am i paying for bacon if im not getting any bacon ON MY BURGER?! the second time i went i ordered the same thing. a bacon cheeseburger.
