This positive feedback goes to Aurora, From Loews Hotel O'Hare Chicago. I wanted to extend my deepest gratitude for the exceptional care and warmth you brought to my hotel room during my stay—especially on such a meaningful day. After returning from my graduation, I was rushed and left quite a mess, but you arrived with a radiant smile and transformed the space into a sparkling sanctuary. Your joy was contagious, and your light-hearted conversation truly elevated my mood. I loved that you complimented my YouTube playlist—it was heartwarming to know my morning meditation music brightened your shift as well! You didn’t just clean—you reorganized thoughtfully, and even revealed the fridge I didn’t know I had! Thanks to you, the room felt fresh, welcoming, and celebratory, reflecting the joy of my graduation day. When you stopped by the next morning to wish me well on my next chapter, it felt like a meaningful send-off from a friend. Your attention to detail, kindness, and genuine care made all the difference. You are truly a star and a real MVP of service. The room smelled amazing and felt like a peaceful retreat thanks to you. I’ve given you a five-star rating and wouldn’t hesitate to do so again. Thank you, Aurora, for making my graduation stay so special. I wish you continued success and hope to cross paths again one day. With heartfelt appreciation, Maritza Victor

Loews Chicago O'Hare Hotel is a large, fancy hotel with stylish decor and friendly, helpful staff. The rooms offer nice views if you get a room on the forest reserve side. There is an ice machine next to the elevator that also dispenses water—perfect for refilling bottles. Amenities include a mini-fridge (though it doesn’t get very cold), a Keurig machine with unimpressive generic coffee, a clothes iron with a full-size ironing board, a hair dryer, and a super cozy bathrobe. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, making for a good night’s rest. However, there are some downsides. The furniture is noticeably worn, and airplane noise can be quite loud. Cleanliness was an issue—there were hairs on the bedspread and bathroom floor. The body lotion provided is unpleasant, so it's a good idea to bring your own. Also, the coffee at the on-site Starbucks had an off-putting sewer-like smell, possibly from the cups. Overall, the hotel it's a good place to stay since it's close to the airport but there are some areas for improvement.

Updating the review yet again: we keep wanting to use this hotel and have several times. However, the hotel fell once again on this latest trip. Note to International Travelers!!! If you arrive at Terminal 5, the shuttle no longer picks up at that terminal at all. You have to wind your way through the airport on the train, down and up escalators, up elevators to find the shuttle area. I timed it and it added thirty minutes after our arrival from a very long flight. This is particularly frustrating as we saw the shuttles of several hotels picking up visitors from the international terminal as we left, including the Westin and others. Why are they making it more convenient but Loews is not?

The second part is that for the first time, we received a room (1014) that smelled strongly of smoke and that needs further cleaning. We were so tired after a long flight, we decided not to try to get another room.

2nd Review: I wanted to update the review below. After a recent second stay at the hotel, I was very impressed with some of the updates they've made. The shuttle driver we had for our last stay was very friendly and helpful. The phone lines worked and the operator made sure to tell us the exact pick up location at the international terminal when we called for pick-up. As always, the room was very clean and comfy. The beds are soft and the bathrooms absolutely wonderful after a long flight. I was particularly impressed this time with how friendly the staff were--it was a welcome bit of rest after a long journey. Thank you for the improvements, Loews!

Previous full review below (updated from 3 to 5 stars after improved visit):

The hotel is extremely clean, modern, and the staff were friendly, which is why I went with three stars instead of two. I believe many if not most people stay here on account of the shuttle service to O'Hare, which is widely seen as one of the better ways to get to the airport and park. While the hotel was lovely, the shuttle was extremely inconvenient for us, to the point I felt like yelling. We parked for an extended period and rode the shuttle after initially parking--on the outbound shuttle, the driver saw us approaching with our bags from another doorway and proceeded to grill us in a rude manner about where we were coming from. I responded we came from the hotel and he challenged me, saying that he saw us come from another direction. I told him to go check with the front desk if he was so concerned. Not a great way to begin the reservation... We returned from an international trip to terminal 5. Read carefully, because if you arrive at the international terminal, the shuttle does not automatically stop there, unlike all the other terminals--you have to call the main desk. We were not told this by the first driver and I had to discover it for myself on the hotel website. Luckily, I had checked the website and knew to call once we got our bags. However, the website did not say whether the shuttle picked us up where it dropped us off (upper level) or the lower level. No problem, I thought, I'll just ask when I call. So, I call, and call, and call--the line is busy for the front desk at the hotel is busy for over 25 minutes. Strange. So, I call the main Loews franchise number and they manage to route me in--the woman is very friendly and apologetic on the phone. She said she'll let the shuttle know--I ask where the shuttle picks up and she says door 5e, which is the same door we were dropped off at. I asked if she knew if that was upper or lower level and she said she didn't know. To make this long story short, due to the busy signal, the calling, and the unclear information from the website and person I called, it took over an hour and fifteen minutes to get picked up from the terminal. Not a great way to get off a 9...

Our daughter's wedding was at the Loews Chicago O'Hare Hotel last month, and the entire experience was phenomenal. We had about 60 rooms of guests, and everyone had a wonderful stay, from the rooms to the airport shuttle to the friendliness of the staff.

As parents of the bride, we had the honor to work closely with 2 members of the events team, Mary Ann Kenmotsu and Kamblin Chang.

We wish there were more positive and uplifting words to say about Mary Ann Kenmotsu at the Loews Chicago O’Hare hotel. We recently had our daughter’s wedding at this hotel, and it was 1,000% successful thanks to Mary Ann. Her education, knowledge and know-how around the hotel and its events in general are second to none. To say she is flexible, smart and beyond wise in all parts of the wedding arena is an understatement. Plus, to see her in action with all her co-workers, at all levels, was such a pleasure—she is respectful of everyone and quite respected by everyone as well. Mary Ann shines bright everywhere she walks and with everyone at the hotel--no exaggeration. Not only did we love her, but so did our adult kids, our wedding coordinator, and all the other outside vendors that helped with our wedding. Wow—that’s a great feat and a true testament to Mary Ann’s terrific-ness. One more thing: Mary Ann’s heart is giant-sized and she truly loves her job—both of which are so evident when meeting her initially and then working with her throughout our planning process. She never ceased to amaze us! Kudos to the Loews Chicago O’Hare hotel for having Mary Ann be such an integral part of its organization.

Kamblin Chang at the Loews Chicago O’Hare hotel is amazing! She was a huge part of our daughter’s wedding planning. She kept all details from the tasting (six months prior) to the final weeks before the wedding in check, plus she kept us on the ball with our specific “to do” lists, and ran the wedding day/evening like a champ making certain every “I” was dotted and every “t“ crossed. Everyone at the hotel loves working with Kamblin, as was evidenced by all the exchanges we either witnessed firsthand, or those we heard learned/heard about throughout the months-long planning process. Plus, ALL our outside vendors loved working with her as well. No task was too big or small for Kamblin to tackle 100%, plus she did so with such style and grace…and with excellent results! A win all around! It was an honor and a pleasure to have Kamblin on our wedding team. She puts her wonderful heart and soul into everything she does--we couldn’t have survived without her, nor have had as successful a wedding as we did. Kudos to the Loews organization for having Kamblin in such an...
