Mariscos Brite Spot — Restaurant in Long Beach

Well what can I say .... This place is honestly one of the worst restaurants I've been too. I can not even give them a crutch and say maybe they were just having a bad day it that they were busy etc etc... Noooooooooo I can't even give them a crutch at all . Because I've been there several times. Why do u contribute to go back? It's close, within walking distance and no other options but a few other places. So I am a return customer only when it's an absolute must and I only order one item and it is always the same item each time I order because I do enjoy their breakfast burrito on a rare occasion . That's the only plus. Each time beginning with my very first visit I was not greeted with a smile or at all for that matter. I do get a greeting let's say 1 out of Sherry five times I have gone there through out the years. When I place my order it's incredibly difficult to relay it because u do not speak Spanish so it's difficult for me to understand them and they do not understand English very well. The ordering process is infuriating if done over the phone, in person it's a bit easier but then your forced to wait for a long time for your to go order. The prices are actually really high unless u get a special and every time I try something different I'm really dissapointed. The quality of food is not up to par for me personally and couple that with high prices. Overall it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I will say this.. If you do find an item you enjoy then stick to it. As I said I return too this place for their great breakfast burritos only. I never count on a friendly exchange because it's never given. Idk why maybe the language barrier is the cause .. BUT HERE'S A NO BRAINER.. A SMILE IS SOMETHING THAT IS UNIVERSAL. ALL PPL SMILE SO MAYBE SOME OF THE WAIT STAFF SHOULD TRY SMILING ONCE IN WHILE I KNOW IT WOULD GO...

Omg where do I start this place used to be amazing i don't know what happened. I ordered pineapple seafood vallarta style for $25. What I got was 4 small shrimps, 4 tiny octopus pieces, the rest was imation crab filling no flavor blan colors oh yeah 3 cucumber slices (round) very little cheese melted no red peppers or abalone real crab onions where not caramelized as before it was so disgusting the Spanish rice had a old after taste and heavy cummin which is not a good flavor. The only thing fresh was the salad. I took two bites of my food and the whole thing is in my trash can. Even the tostadas where stale. The salsa was expired the green one the pico de gallo also mixed old with new smell and taste disgusting please health wise I would not order from here I had diarrhea after just two...

They have this Nopal Breakfast Burrito & I have them add crispy bacon 🥓 to the Burrito. Boy does it taste great. Plus they also serve beef tongue tacos 🌮 aka Tacos de lengua.. very tasty. I have a lot of friends that there mother didn't know how to prepare it or season it growing up.

So they they kept telling me that they would not try it again.

However, when they saw my tacos 🌮 they asked me to order the same thing for them. I asked are you sure. So before I placed an order for them I asked them to try a little sample from my plate.

They did & there response was YES! Please order me 2 🌮 tacos of whatever you call this meat.

OK, I told them what they were eating after they had finished eating & followed it down with some Jamaica aka Hibiscus tea. 🌺 They loved the tacos...
