NEVER BOOK WITH VECTOR TRAVEL!! Although, I saw the negative reviews I decided to book with them anyway because none of the reviews where in my area, Virginia. Everything went well with the booking. Great customer service, the apartment was as advertised and clean, and I had no issues. UNTIL, I checked out!! I followed the instructions to return the key to the letter...ok great put the key in the locker that popped open at 7:09 a.m. and closed it. At about 9am I started getting emails and texts messages that the key wasn't there. So I called and explained which locker it was in and even offer to go and assist the staff with locating it and was told no one was at the building. So the next day I called to get the status of the key and get the instructions for the next reservation checking in, in two days. I was told the key still couldn't be found and that someone would have to look in all the lockers as I was told the day before that someone had already done that. Ok fine, I'll meet whoever Keisha Martin is on the day of my next check-in to get this cleared up. Meanwhile, I needed the reservation info for the 1 bedroom I booked, the week before I booked a 2 bedroom, so I was told that they were putting me in the same apartment that they couldn't find the key for and therefore couldn't be cleaned. WHAT!!! So, if they didn't find the key, that I turned in as instructed, they would charge me $75 and cancel my reservation leaving me with no where to stay instead of honoring my reservation for a one bedroom. I had them cancel my reservation with a refund and I will still meet Keisha Martin at 5pm on Monday to look through all the lockers that they claim she had already looked through. I travel to Virginia on a regular basis for work and just think Vector Travel could have had a client for a very long time if it wasn't for their schemes. How unfortunate!! Read moreI will NEVER travel with vector again. They completely ruined my only vacation for the year to Atlanta. The check in process was confusing and incorrect. After an hour of calling and trying different things to get the key, we finally got in to the room. We immediately tried to shower and noticed The shower would not drain. They have no one to fix it onsite so we could not shower there the entire time. Also all of the outlets with the exception of one did not work. They sent an electrician who said the outlets haven't been working for sometime and he would need all day to test and fix them all. Vector wanted me to find something to do for the day which I could not do because I had surgery and could not be out of the room for a whole day. We also did not rent a car as we prepared to have minimal time outside of the room. We could not charge our electronics or phones due to the outlets so we would not have been able to find places anyways. Had to ask someone to show us where a gym was to shower and charge our phones to even be able to message them. The stay was miserable and on short notice we could not find another reasonable accommodation to change to after Vector said there was nothing they could do. To top it off, vector did not refund any of the money. They offered us a discount for our "next stay with them". We would never use them again. It's a complete sham. They are not accredited by the BBB but do have complaints there as well. Do not waste your vacation...
Read moreNo hot water for over 3 of the 5 days I stayed at one of this companies stays. Even with regular communication it took 3 days before this was fixed. Due to no hot water the dishwasher did not work efficiently so I presume none of the dishes were cleaned to CDC standard. We had to have cold showers and use a kettle and the stove to to get warm water to wash our hair.
Also, the apartment was falsely advertised as having access to an indoor pool but this was wrong as there was only an outdoor pool- I stayed here in the winter and chose this stay as it said there was an indoor pool, the outdoor pool was too cold to use.
I was compensated 10% due to the false advertisement and I have been waiting for over a week to receive any compensation for not having hot water. I keep emailing them for updates and they keep replying that they are waiting for their accounting team to work it out.
This is obviously a new company with lots of problems unsolved. I would not stay with them again as their is very poor management of the maintenance and housekeeping team.
