Had a horrible visit yesterday at this Target with the back counter in electronics. The lady behind the counter was rude to not only me but 2 other customers. First she ignored me while she was on her cell phone behind her counter, I then said excuse me and she replied with "What do you need?", I am in customer service and know that this is not an appropriate response. She then directed me to the opposite side of the store, where what I was looking for was not there. I asked another employee who walked me back to the same lady who sent me the wrong way and they were sitting right in front of her. So I waited to check out. As I waited the employee was on the phone with another customer and a gentleman walked up to her and asked her a question about a phone, she replied with "Can't you tell I am on the phone!" and then said to the customer on the phone "I am sorry this douche bag will not leave me alone, what do you need again?" The guy of course heard her and stomped off, as he passed he called her a name as well. She then proceeded to yell at him and tell him to get the F* out of her store! I was shocked... Another employee walked up not knowing what was going on and she told him to call security which he did. When I checked out I asked to speak to a manager about an innocent and i was told by the cashier that they were "too busy at this time". I left the store too angry with this service. I decided to come back about 20 minutes later and talk to a manager finally. I told the manager what had happened to me and the other customer. He replied with "There is nothing I can do, she is not my employee since she works for the electronic company".... I was so mad. HOW can you do nothing?! An innocent man got kicked out of your store by someone who is "not" your employee? That makes no sense to me. Someone needs to teach this store how to properly manage. I will not be...
Read moreTarget needs to train its loss prevention team better. I witnessed a woman shopping at this store being cornered by police and asked if she had enough money to pay for her items. She had done nothing wrong, yet was forced to pull out her money and show it in front of everyone shopping! They did this in full veiw of all the custmers. Target's loss prevention team had called the police on her without any evidence of theft. They assumed she might attempt to leave without paying, even though she hadn’t tried to leave and was still shopping when the incident occurred. She wasn’t attempting anything suspicious, but the police ran her license and later apologized for the misunderstanding, Target staff and their loss prevention team never apologized to her publicly at the store. This woman was unfairly treated like a criminal based on a "feeling"? Is this what Target has come to—harassing innocent paying customers? I would understand if she had actually tried to leave without paying, but she did no such thing. She was simply shopping and minding her own business when she was confronted—not by Target staff, but by the police. It makes me wonder, who's next? Will my family or I be harassed like this woman? We're not criminals. We've been shopping at this store for years, but now I’m not sure it’s a safe option anymore. How dare they treat her, or anyone, without any proof of theft or wrongdoing! It’s outrageous. They should focus on catching actual criminals who have been getting away with theft instead of targeting innocent customers. This behavior is...
Read moreBought a fan got home opened it. Fan was used scuff and broken! Not Acceptable. Now I have to drive back on my limited time at 13 miles With the current horrific gas prices. AND WASTE MY TIME!! You either have a training problem or A ethical problem whereas both are at the customer's expense and not yours!!
Changing my review from 1 star to star to 5 Stars: Targets Service and Engagement Executive Team Katelyn Kier reached out with sincerity and offered several options at my convenience to make the problem right. It was the type of customer service that one used to get 15 years ago when companies actually cared about their customers. I was very pleased and impressed by the way they corrected our bad experience. Even though they are further away then Walmart I will definitely be frequenting their store more often. It is challenging to remember that our nation is still in a Pandemic and that EVERYONE is suffering from the lack of employees impacting customer service. I work on the real front line of this pandemic where nobody wants to be and see it every day. When you go to department stores, restaurants and other businesses they too are suffering from people not wanting to work with public or work period Therefore their customer service is a challenge due to the simple fact they just don't have employees. We all including myself need to keep this in mind!
Thank You Katelyn Kier for working for Target and being...
