Kuleana Resort — Hotel in Maui

My wife and I just returned from a week-long vacation at the Kuleana Escape #313 on Maui and we feel compelled to write a super review. The whole experience exceeded our expectations and we didn’t want to leave. The condominium unit looks brand new and is very nicely decorated with every detail covered and it was spotlessly clean. It has a comfortable Hawaii feel to it. The unit overlooks the pool with a nice view of the ocean to the southwest in the direction of the winter sunsets framed by the palm trees and blooming flowers. We loved the location in that it is away from the big commercial hotels of Kaanapali but close enough to walk to which we did. The beach in front of the Kuleana property is a gathering place for sea turtles who came to visit while we had lunch at the beach. They climbed right up next to us and took their naps. The snorkeling at the beach was quite good as well with lots of fish, turtles, and some other people said they saw an eel. A number of the people we talked to at the Kuleana are either permanent residents or they return every year for vacation. We understand why. My husband and I were debating whether we should stay at a hotel or get a condo. We ended up with condo because of the kitchen amenities and kids. We enjoy cooking so we thought to make dinners and breakfast.

From California we brought few items which we needed like spices, coffee, sugar, salt. We read reviews that it provided most of the stuffs but it didn't. Don't take be wrong, this place does have few salad dressing, salt, pepper, vinegar and Panko. I wish it had sugar and etc. this place has great review on yelp and other websites. I really liked the place. My son has lots of space to crawl. And Ed was great at responding to our questions.

We saw turtles at the beach. Amazing view from our balcony. And I left the sliding doors open for amazing view and breeze.

We have a strange neighbor upstairs that kept moving her furniture every morning and night. We could hear noises.

And we're close to most of the restaurants and beaches nearby.

Definitely a great place to stay which has a fabulous view. You can't go wrong with the view and glass of wine/cocktail watching sunset or coffee for...

My husband and young daughter recently stayed in room 309 at Kuleana Resorts. I'm looking forward to the day I can soon go back. The whole environment was extremely comfortable and relaxing. I especially liked our room because parking is right outside the door and the pool is very close. The room is on the 2nd floor on the end so you have alot of privacy. The room is adorable and the washer/dryer is sooo nice! The view of the pool and ocean is right off the balcony. They have 4 propane barbecue's which came in very handy and such an enjoyable experience to cook overlooking the ocean and save money on dinner! The 3 nights we barbecued we meet a couple residents and one family that was vacationing as well and the company was very pleasant. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and extremely helpful. I could go on and on. The beach had tons of turtles! It never felt crowded anywhere we went on the grounds. LOVED...
