After driving 13 hours and arriving late in the day, check-in was smooth with a very congenial desk clerk. A bit disappointing to find out there was no pool immediately without crossing the parking lot and street to a "sister" hotel and showing our room key, especially since the chlorine smell was so overpowering when we walked in the main entrance. It was a cool and rainy weekend without much time to spare, so onsite convenience would have been a blessing. The offer of a water park is truly not exciting for most senior citizens, especially when offered at an additional cost. The room was comfortable, but the bed pillows appeared to have been laundered and left to be lumpy, misshapen fluffs shoved into their cases, and felt very much the same. The following morning proved disastrous when housecleaning knocked on the door at 8:45 am when we were still in bed, then again at 9:40 am because we didn't invite them in the first time, but then, English clearly was not a primary language for them both, so it is quite conceivable the they thought we told them to come back in 50 minutes. Continuing with the morning, the shower would not drain, there was no venting system in place to prevent the bathroom from becoming a sauna full of steam, the hair dryer did not work, one of the coffee cups was discovered to have a hole after it was filled, and no "continental brunch" available for very light eaters with a time schedule only set the pace for a very disappointing visit. The reservations were for three nights and all three nights were priced differently - progressively higher in rate from Friday's check-in to Monday morning's expected check-out. The front desk clerk was somewhat baffled by my list of complaints and at an initial loss for words, then tried to find us another room, but did not have one on the same floor which was a request because of other wedding guests staying there. The upgrade offered with two queens and a sofa pull-out seemed such a waste for two people only requiring one bed, Then the king with a Jacuzzi or the suite with a king and a kitchenette, but all on lower floors than requested. He would have maintenance up to work on plumbing and electrical problems, but when we had to return at 1:00 pm, change for the wedding and be out of there by 2:15 pm, would maintenance have been finished in two and a half hours and would housekeeping have been back to finish, or would we have all been in the room at the same time? Trying to find a solution became stressful because it was taking longer than I would have liked, since breakfast had been ordered in the onsite restaurant and my spouse was sitting and waiting for me this entire time. As it was, service was slow, so nothing was found cold, but the toast was dropped on the floor and only took ten minutes to be replaced. The frustration led us to find another hotel in the vicinity and a conviction to not use this...

Visited with my 5-year old after attending a Girl Scout event at the Toledo Zoo. After a full day out in the sun, driving over an hour home just didn't sound fun. So we opted for a hotel stay. Chose them due to their proximity to the zoo (about 15 mins away), and that they have both a pool & on-site restaurant. ||The room was good; comfortable bed, clean, cool, we slept fine. No noise issues on the 5th floor. I did notice the rest of the hotel was at a very warm 85, I think the thermostat in one of the halls said. With the heat wave going on, that seemed a little insane, but our room itself was quite cool. We loved that the pool was also nice and cold. ||Only complaint with our room was that we couldn't get the tv to turn on. I suspect the remote needed new batteries, but by the time my 5-year old was trying the tv I was trying to get a shower and get ready to leave, so it didn't seem worth looking into.||My main complain was with the restaurant on-site. We did dinner with them, and it was lovely. The menu is kind of upscale, the wait staff/bar tender was fantastic, and I LOVED the pork chops. Really great experience. But then we did breakfast with them the next morning....and it just wasn't the same. Breakfast staff wasn't attentive, it took a good 10 minutes to get someone to bring my 5-year old the kids menu. Then when she went to order, she orders the oatmeal, and the waitress acts like she's spouting nonsense. I had to point out that its one of the selections on the kids menu....apparently she had never looked at the list of items on their menu, but they don't actually do oatmeal. I got the 2 egg breakfast, with potatoes, toast and meat. Its the one pictured in their elevator, but the picture is just a lot more appetizing. Despite the picture having 2 slices of toast, you only actually get one. Then when we went to pay, I notice the bill has $5 for a side of bacon, despite the menu saying its $4. I mentioned it to the waitress, and she did take off the $1 difference, but she also let us know this happens all the time..... And apparently they don't mention it, & haven't bothered to either change the code they are ringing under or reprint the menus. They just know they are charging you an extra $1 and I guess hope you won't notice.|Breakfast felt....shady & really felt like they were trying to give you as little as they could get away with...||Aside from that, the stay was nice. I just wouldn't do breakfast...

I was first impressed with this hotel when I had to call and rearrange our reservations. I made several phone calls in preparation for this trip and the staff was very helpful every time and tried to accommodate our needs. When we arrived to the hotel, we had easy access to parking and check-in was a breeze. The onsite restaurant was handy as we arrived late and was able to grab a quick bite. Kids eat free was another bonus (although restrictions applied). The room itself was nice. I loved having the mini fridge and microwave right in the room. The decorative fabric on our bed was disgustingly dirty and the shower rod in our room was not secured properly. My biggest complaint was the housekeepers. On our first morning there, We were getting ready and heard the knock on the door. We ignored it the first time but when they came back again shortly after we opened the door and told them we would be gone in 15mins. They stood at the door and asked us for our trash and exchanged our towels. I thought it was a little strange that they just didn't come back later. Fast forward to the next morning, when I had went shopping and my husband and kids were still in the room. My husband had fallen back asleep and awoke to my 5year old son telling him there were people in the room he didn't know. The housekeepers had come in while my husband was still laying in bed. They asked if we needed towels, took the trash, and even started trying to vacuum before leaving the room. We made a make-shift do not disturb sign for the following morning as to not be bothered again. Another complaint is none of the front desk employees were on the same page as to if the waterpark was open on Friday night or not during our stay. Initially we were told it was, then told it wasn't so we made plans and when we came back to the hotel, it was in fact open that Friday night. We did not know we could swim at nearby hotel pool until a fellow hotel guest told us. It would have been nice to have known that at check-in as we were travelling with small children. I though breakfast at the Bistro was overpriced and a continental breakfast would have been nice considering the price of the...

My wife and I booked a room for 2 nights at the Maumee location when we got there to check in, the reservation was for the Monroe Mich location. The rep I spoke to on the phone to get the reservation switched was very apologetic and said don’t worry there won’t be two charges cause the first one was already paid for weeks ahead of time. Well about 9 days after our stay my bank account was charged a cancellation fee of like $130. I called multiple times to get my money back they said there is a refund paper to fill out and return. So I did that and then followed up with a phone call and the same number was unavailable like I was blocked. So I called a different customer service line for IHG HOTELS the rep asked me what I was calling about once I told her she put me on hold and never came back. I had dead silence over 1 hour then the line just hang up. So after calling the customer service line 10-12 times I finally gave up. IHG ripped me off for 130$ which is unfortunate cause my wife and I enjoyed the location and hotel but this experience ruined everything. Probably will never go back to any IHG location again. (Response to owners reply) I’m 100% sure this is the hotel and location we stayed at, we live close by the hotel just wanted to have some privacy away from the kids. You spelled my last name incorrectly probably why you didn’t find it. I’ve spoke to both locations multiple times. Done wasting any of my time on the situation. This all happen Valentines Day 2024. I just chalked it up as a loss. You just lost a great customer is all because I’ve stayed at the Maumee location many times over the last 10+ years. Actually when our family comes into town from out of state I used to recommend they staying at your hotel so it’s unfortunate this has happened.

First of all there are small signs to road where hotel is. Missed entry more than once. Lobby area is small. . Easy fast check in/out. The room was nice and clean. Bathroom had dove shampoo/conditioner, bodywash. Dove lotion and hand wash all are secured to walls. They only have one elevator. Workout room is on 3rd floor. It's small but it's good. Pool is smaller but great. Clean. They must use salt. No overwhelming chlorine smell which was nice. Other Waterpark pool area is closed, looked like permanently. Breakfast was ok. We received complimentary breakfast for being a member. Just your normal eggs, meat, toast, potatoes. The Am staff went above and beyond when we had a problem with another family's room not having a chair. They gave them a new room.

Im not sure where to start but here you go. If you want a clean room DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is nasty. I placed my bed linens on the floor and to my surprise they were placed back on my bed. The reason I know this is because I dropped chocolate on them and it was in the same place. The shower was NASTY! I talked to the manager several times and he promised it would be taken care of and to no avail it wasn’t. When you walk across the floor in your sock feet be prepared to throw your socks away. Now to the bed lined, when I pulled the cover back there was black hair in the bed! NOW IF THAT DOESN'T MAKE YOU CHAMGE YOUR MIND I’m not sure what will. There is also MOLD in these rooms. See the pictures for yourself.
