This has been my favorite cutout for over thirty years. I no longer live in Toledo but make a special trip to get cookies when I visit. It is frustrating for them to be sold out of the cutouts hours before they close, but that's not the reason for this post. This week I purchased three dozen cutouts. Unless you do a custom order you normally get something that has to do with the seasons, tulips for spring, suns for summer, leaves for fall ect. This time they were ugly small brown football's. Really, why? And I know there is an inflation crisis going on but these were just tiny, the frosting on top was not even measurable, just enough to cover the color of the cookie. I really wish the people who enjoy them now could have had the pleasure of having them ten, twenty or thirty years ago. It's a shame, now they are just a tease of what a good cutout once was. Several of my friends and family members are continually turned away and as of today, we are done trying. Supply and demand is a very simple business concept and this business has failed at it miserably. I forgot to pick up the cookies by 6 p.m. They called me and I paid for them over the phone. I picked them up from Charlie’s in the same plaza that evening.
