Red Lobster — Restaurant in Maumee

Was the worst. Will never go to Red Lobster again. It started waiting for a table for 2. Was told 20 min people started coming in regularly and some receded right away in front of us which I'm assuming they had reservations. Some were giving their names and we're told it would be soon. So the people that were told it would be soon were getting seated in front of us, which when I asked the young gentleman hahaha 24-year-old boy that was up at your desk. How long it would be because I should have been seated two people ago. He said you got 5 minutes and you're going to have to wait. I said okay. My friend went up and try to explaining to him. He started just running his mouth and would not shut up. Okay I'm handicapped. I'm on oxygen. I'm 64 years old. This is a 24-year-old little punk. You guys had working this front desk was very rude called me names told me he wasn't going to take care of us at all so he ignored us and just kept running his mouth to the point we had to get the manager once again. Okay. Got seated. Finally the next people amazingly got seated ordered our food. We were getting all you could eat the ultimate feast or did what we want. Waited 20 minutes or so at least. Finally got our food after the waitress had bought us our second basket of biscuits to fill us up on it. Got the food. Mine was fine. It was hot. It was fine. My friend who was the one that was buying for me because I hadn't been out in so long everything on her plate. She had the scampi and she had the stewardship. Baked potato and rice was cold to the point where the butter would not melt on the baked potato. Waited for a waitress came back. Never came back. Never came back. Finally one got the manager again. She came over said that she would get to food replaced immediately. So we started waiting again. We had already ordered our second helping for the all you could eat. My shrimps should have been out. Nope. We sat there waiting and waiting 20 minutes go by. We decide to leave. I had a small plate of all you can eat shrimp to two of waltz and one of his scampi. Oh boy. I was looking on really eating some food for $25. Well she wanted to make sure she left the manager know we were leaving and why the manager said. Oh okay my friend told her well will pay for the one that my friend ate. No, that's okay. Go ahead. I'll take care of it. Oh thank goodness she did because I would have gone off. I am not a happy person. I've eaten it red lobster for years. Will never eat there again after this. I'm done with Red lobster. You're overpriced, not very good food. The only shrimp I like is the walt shrimp. All this fancy salt and vinegar coconut serve food don't quit serving all this hot. It's ridiculous. Train your people for customer service you are have you are an employee? You don't get the right to sit there and tell a customer you're supposed to be seating. Me not telling me you're not going to take care of me because you don't want to hear it then go back in the back. That's what the manager did. She put him back in the back a little while later. Good food and fair prices, we must have just caught our waitress on a bad day though for our service was absolutely terrible. We got there at 9pm on a Saturday which they are open till 11pm according to the online hours listed, but we’re completely rushed out of there like we were not welcome. Our person that brought us our mussels appetizer started off with a nice comment about my piercings and ended it very rudely making me feel uncomfortable. My boyfriend and I were handed our bill almost 10 minutes into our meal and not even half way through eating. Ive been there before and have always revived a salad with my meal and did not get offered one this time so they must have changed this or we just were never offered because our waitress didn’t want us to begin with. His mashed potatoes were undercooked and had to ask for a refill on his pop because he wasn’t even “offered” one. Not even 5 minutes after receiving our early dropped bill we were asked if we would be paying cash or credit, so naturally I had to dig my card out while in the middle of my meal and greasy fingers from the crab legs. We were never offered any desserts or boxes before paying , in which we would have definitely ordered a dessert (being pregnant I obviously wanted dessert) had we not felt like we were being kicked out of there by our waitress And already paid. We would love to do take out next time but come from 30 minutes away and feel as if it just wouldn’t be the same. It will be a while before we ever come back again (IF we come back) to be treated so poorly for there are plenty of other options that serve crab legs with a smile on...

We only gave 3 stars because the food was spot on as usual. We wouldve given 1 star for our service however. The server was pleasant/friendly, but she was either extremely absent minded or highly undertrained or both. She also was negligent. It was not very busy at all and it took nearly 15 minutes to get our drink order, and another 15 for her to bring it. She brought our dinner out, before the appetizer & them stated she was unaware we had ordered salads when the meal arrived without sides. We said we would switch the sides but she still, brought salads. In the initial order, my husband wanted the little shrimps added to his cesar, a normal $3 upcharge ( but when she brought the salads near the end of our meal, it had 5 fried shrimp on it, and also added a full $9 charge to the bull for this "appetizer" we did not order). We were so annoyed though at this point, we are sure we will never return & didnt even argue because this girl took incredibly long to do anything. We asked for 3 boxes, for salads & regular appetizer we did not eat, and she brought the boxes 1 by 1, about 10 minutes apart. Refill our drinks, oh once, after we asked her 3x... she sort of laughed it off & smiled nicely with a chirpy apology, but obviously didnt mean it as she continued to be a terrible host & forgetful server. She disappeared fro. The room but we never saw her waiting on any other tables the entire 2 hours we were there, so I'm not sure why she was so busy but the restaurant was not busy at all.
