Donatella Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Miami Beach

I’m giving Hotel Donatella 4 stars, despite a few areas for improvement—mainly because the hotel just opened a month ago, and there’s clear potential here.

This is a true boutique experience, with only six rooms and a very personalized atmosphere. There’s no traditional reception—just a small check-in station tucked into the corner of the ground-floor restaurant. The staff are incredibly warm, professional, and attentive, which really enhances the stay.

The rooms are beautifully designed, with thoughtful lighting and a calming color palette. The beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms are impressively large—though perhaps a bit oversized at the expense of bedroom space. One issue we noticed was the lack of privacy when the window shades are open, as there are no sheer curtains or frosted glass solutions in place.

The amenities are top-notch for a boutique property: Bvlgari shower products, beach towels, and other thoughtful touches elevate the experience.

Now, the downsides. Breakfast is quite minimal—just a few pastries, coffee, and orange juice—even though there’s a fully equipped restaurant on site. Speaking of the restaurant, its layout presents a challenge: to access your room, you need to walk through the dining area, which can feel awkward, especially during peak hours.

Sound insulation is another concern. We could clearly hear music from the restaurant, staff conversations, and movement on the stairs—particularly disruptive during the afternoon setup when we were hoping to rest.

All in all, Hotel Donatella is a stylish and welcoming boutique hotel with a lot of promise. That said, at the current price point, guests will likely expect a more refined experience. With time and a few adjustments, this could become a standout stay. I look forward to seeing...
