I stayed at this hotel recently and while the location was convenient and the room was clean, several issues really detracted from the experience. The room had a persistent bad odor, which was unpleasant throughout the stay. In addition, being on the ground floor, it lacked proper soundproofing so we could hear and see people constantly walking by, which made it hard to relax or get a good night’s sleep. One of the most frustrating parts of the stay was being charged a $45 per night resort fee, which was never disclosed upfront during the booking process through the IHG app. I had specifically checked the option to show prices including all taxes and fees, yet the resort fee was only mentioned in the very fine print of the confirmation email after the booking was completed (which I didn’t see until it was pointed out to me upon check in) A completely unacceptable lack of transparency, I would have not booked this hotel if I had known about this fee. To make matters worse, the resort fee supposedly covers amenities like free WiFi, pool access / towels, and beach chairs/towels. However, free WiFi is already included for IHG Rewards members, so essentially, I was charged extra for services that should have been complimentary. Breakfast was another low point — expensive and extremely slow. For the price, the experience was well below expectations. Overall, I would not stay here again

Hotel is ok, but the additional amenity fee is very high and gives almost nothing in return. And if you are an ihg elite member, you can't get free breakfast or use food and beverage rewards because hotel restaurant does not "belong to hotel". When I was booking my stay via IHG app, the price didn't show any amenity fee, despite switched on "show the price with fees and taxes included" option. The amenity fee of $45 was, however, indicated in reservation email, but I didn't notice it. So, the amenity fee was an unpleasant surprise on check-in. Unfortunately, last years that is a common practice for many hotels to charge you extra for amenities. When I asked what will I get for that $45 a day, I was told that amenities are including free Wi-Fi, swimming pool access, and beach chairs. Well, for hotel hosts information, a free Wi-Fi is already guaranteed for all IHG members and beach chairs costs $25 if you pays at the spot, not $45 that hotel charges. The room was small. I reserved a room with a terrace. Notable, all terrace rooms are on ground floor and terraces are facing inner yard with restaurant tables. Moreover, in the evening hotel turns on a lamp mounted on the wall of terrace, so it's very illuminated and gives zero privacy. The only moment to enjoy the terrace was in the morning to sit there with a coffee.

I stayed here for 2 days due to a business trip to the Miami Convention Center. The location is great. There are quite a few restaurants in walking distance as well as the beach. The hotel offers 2 free chairs on the beach during the day and has a very nice pool on the roof. The view is spectacular. All staff members are very friendly. We got to know one named Ceasar who gave us great suggestions on food and was so down to earth that he really made you feel you were more than just a guest. There is an Italian restaurant in the lobby of the hotel but didn't have good options for us so we never ate there. My room on the first floor was very small and a bit cramped bit situated nicely enough. The only negative thing I would say is that being that close to the front desk, you can hear almost every word spoken if you don't have the TV on. All in all, I really enjoyed the stay and would recommend this hotel. I will definitely return but will make sure I am located further away from the front desk next time.

Such a disappointing stay at Berkeley Park Hotel. The small, extremely basic room was already expensive but then we were nickel and dimed for every single thing. The room had an occupancy of 4 people but we were charged an extra $20 per night per person for 3 of the 4 guests, even though the contract we were provided said the booking was for 2 people. This charge did not include anything (i.e, no breakfast or additional beach chairs, in fact only 2 chairs included per room). We requested a late check out when we booked and upon check in. We were told to call between 7 and 9 am the day of check out to see if we can get a late check out. We called at 7, told to call back later. Called back and were told that they absolutely could not accommodate us and seemed extremely frustrated to even have the conversation. After a fight they gave us an hour extension, but then called the room and told us we were late to check out even though we had an additional hour. While the servers at the restaurant and the maids were kind, we were met with such rude service from the front desk and management. The amenities were closed 15-30 minutes before they were supposed to (tried to order room service at 9:30 but couldn’t even though the restaurant closed at 10, etc). The “gym” at the sister hotel was 2 broken pelotons and a set of dumb bells. I asked if there was any space to work from and there was only a conference room that needed to be booked (extra fee of course) and it wasn’t available because it was being used as storage(??). The restaurant in the cute courtyard was good but pricy. We were charged an 18% gratuity on the MINI BAR even though the glasses were left dirty every day. Also, for some reason all of the linens and dirty towels were just left out on a cart/the floor in the middle of the hallway the entire time we were there? Like this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel haha. Honestly, this place is a scam I would never stay again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, they seem to absolutely hate their guests.

Room/amenities: The location was decent but otherwise it was mostly a nightmare. Our bill was about $700 more than expected and it wasn’t even a pleasant stay. Room was small and basic, pool was not heated, restaurant and courtyard were nice (expensive), “gym” is 2 pelotons and a set of dumb bells. Pool at the sister hotel (The Plymouth) was beautiful. There is absolutely nowhere to work if you need that. There is a conference room but only available for paid booking and was not even open at all while we were there. Streaming features were blocked...

This is the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had and I travel for a living so this tells a lot. I was booked for 2 nights and fully paid. I added an extra day before my stay so when I arrive earlier than check in time I would have a place to stay. I called them days in advance to let them know what’s going to happen. After a very long flight with little to no sleep I arrived to check in and was told that the room was cancelled because there was nobody who checked in the day before. The front desk was so arrogant and obnoxious handling the situation as if it’s my fault. It was March 20, 2022 11:00am. She insists that it was the hotel policy to cancel an already paid booking if no one checked in even though I called to inform them about the situation. She kept saying that all hotels do that and that is the hotel policy. She seems to insist too that I didn’t call and tried defending what happened instead of being apologetic about it and find a solution. She told me to sit and she’ll figure out what she can do. She then proceeded to assist about 10 other guests checking out. I felt like a fool being the only Asian guy in a room full of white people being assisted by this lady. I had to wait for her to finish assisting everyone before she assist me. I’ve wasted so much time which is the whole point why I booked an extra day to avoid wasting time. Had I not started to raise my voice on her, she’d keep treating me obnoxiously like I wasn’t a paying customer. She eventually said sorry and proceeded to explain that I’ll have free towels blah blah blah. No one cares about the free towels. For everything that I had to go through that is quite an insult to be honest. I feel like I would have been treated differently if I was white or something. Any other decent hotel would have offered so much more for the incredibly inconvenience this hotel has put me through. IT IS THE...

I stayed for two weeks at this hotel. Some things were good, others not. Because of my long stay, I asked for a higher floor. The hotel only has I believe 5 floors and I was on the third. I have never in my life used ear plugs to sleep, but I could not sleep without ear plugs because you could hear everything happening outside. I could hear people's cell phone conversations. I could not believe the quality of the windows given that this is a hotel. I told the front desk and asked to be moved to maybe a corner suite, but they looked at me like I'm crazy and said they have never heard this before, and said it would be the same. The carpets are disgusting and have never been steam cleaned and I could smell them every time I came into the room. The bottom of the bed where there is a space between the mattress and the bed was filthy. I used a lot of alcohol wipes to clean there and it was black. I cleaned and then asked for them to clean, but had to clean after them again. These areas should be cleaned in between guests. I don't get housekeeping daily, but on the days that I did get it, things were not cleaned at all, and I had to ask the staff to use cleaning solutions to wipe down the counters not just a dry rag. The best and pillows were not comfortable. I found these to be the least comfortable at any hotel that I stayed at. The pool was pretty nice, but I didn't really use it as I attended the beach daily. I found a lot of the staff really nice, including in the courtyard and the front desk. The court yard is beautiful. The music was always a great selection, the coffee and pastries were great quality. There is a small food selection. The tea is ridiculously overpriced, $6 US without tax and tip for one tea bag, when you can get the entire box at Public for $4. The AC in the...
