So, I booked this place for the convivence to the conference center, and from the pictures on their website. I checked in August 2nd, 2025, and checked out August 8th, 2025. Let me start by saying Jose and Mariana at the front desk was nothing short of AMAZING! Making me feel at home every day, so this review is NOT a reflection on them. So, to start the pictures on the website and the actual rooms are a bit off, modern is a little bit of a stretch. My first 30 minutes in my room was met by someone using a key to enter my room unannounced, only to learn she was a part of housekeeping with no id or uniform. I was assured it wouldn't happen again. The room itself was a nice size because it was a suite, but the couch was covered with a cloth and for good reason as it was horrible and falling apart. The living room area was not well lit, and the fridge was missing a temperature knob, there was no toilet paper holder in the bathroom and no box of tissue anywhere to be found. The bathroom was really not modern and the way the shower was designed, water was all over the floor. If you are used to hotel amenities like continental breakfast, or ice buckets in your room, this place is not it. There is one ice machine on ground floor, with only 10oz cups to put ice in. There is a fridge in the room, but no freezer portion. The bed, I've had better, but the room are roomy, if you have a suite. If you're looking for a quiet place away from the craziness of Miami Beach, this is it. But you will lose that Miami beach vibe, pool, restaurant and bar area. You will have to order your breakfast or go get it, there's one elevator that can take a while to come, I took the steps on several occasions. Other than that, next time I know what I'm getting into. The hotel has an entrance from the street through which you can access a small garden to the interior entrance of the hotel. That place is private to the hotel.
Upon check-in at 3 p.m. There was a woman sitting on a bench by the private entrance door and as the way she dressed, the makeup, how she was talking and walked in and out of the hotel reception, he was not a host. You know what I mean.
I asked the receptionist if the hotel was actually a family hotel, since we were with my parents, my husband, and my 9-year-old daughter and me. The receptionist told me yes, it was a family hotel.
They gave us room cards and in one the smell of cigarettes was unbearable. The other room (which was connected by an interior door) smelled of beer: as if beer had been spilled all over the room and no matter how much they cleaned, they couldn't get all the smell out. I asked someone to eat and throw away the air freshener.
When we came back from dinner, the same woman from the morning was still sitting on the bench next to the front door and went into the hotel to use the bathroom and then came back out and sat on that bench.
The next day we left the hotel at 6 in the morning since we had a flight and the same woman along with another were in the same place sitting completely drunk, vomiting next to the hotel door without being able to get up.
It was a disgusting scene and I had to make sure my daughter didn't see the situation.

Read moreUnhospitable and no follow through. I originally booked with a sister hotel and then the pandemic hit. They kept my payment as credit toward a future stay. I should have asked for a refund. When I contacted them to schedule my stay I made sure to include that 5 guests would be occupying the room to avoid any space issues. Didn't work. The room was for three and when I asked for more bedding so I could sleep on the floor because they didn't have any more rooms I was questioned and given attitude by housekeeping, like I was putting him out. Front desk staff in the evening and at night were nice and at least tried to be helpful. When the ceiling in the bathroom started leaking (room 207 btw) maintenance came and addressed it by telling the person above us to turn off their water. When I addressed these issues with the front desk in the morning there was no apology and no effort to make it right. I was told maintenance would look at the leak but that never happened either. I was told by the woman at the front desk to message the person I booked the room. I did and she responded, but only to tell me she didn't have an email saying there would be 5 guests. I forwarded her the email, and nothing. No response. The reviews about the rooms looking nothing like the photos and about bugs in the rooms are correct. In room 207 there was hardly anywhere to sit and there were ants coming in through the window. I made sure to leave a review in their internal system asking them to make it right, but nothing.
