My recent brunch experience at News Cafe Restaurant in Miami while on vacation was an absolute delight that left me craving for more. From the moment I stepped into this iconic establishment on Ocean Drive, I knew I was in for a treat. Kudos to two outstanding members of the staff- maki g the experience perfect: first-Hostess Maria- as soon as we entered, not only her warm welcoming smile- but also her quickness to askif she could get us started on something before the server arrived! We dine out daily- but she was just memorable and more on target! And we noticed throughout our time at the restaurant, she was consistently around the entire restaurant checking that everyone was served on time and was happy- and she did it all with a gracious smile! It's rare to find a hostess so perfectly involved and so willing to help everyone! She's certainly ban asset to a restaurant row where there are so many choices- her professional manner would make NewsCafe the winning choice! Secondly, would also love to sing the praises of Server Damelia— also so lovely and professional and so anxious to hustle to make sure everyone was pleased and happy and well-served! She exhibited a caring, sweet manner that would make any customer anxious to return and be seated at her table! The food was quick and excellent- have been many times- but this time was so exceptionally worthy of a review! My husband Steve and I came January 1st-evening- and- in addition to our meal-our hostess and server will probably remember the 8 cappuccinos and regular coffee too)!
