This would have been a very different review but as the hotel took money from my account for another customers drinks and won’t reply to my emails or phone call I want to warn others to avoid this hotel!|We were happy with the hotel and enjoyed having two drinks each in the hotels 24th floor in the bar. We sat outside and enjoyed the view.|When we checked out, there was no offer of a copy of the bill and I asked for a print out, then raced to get our taxi. I didn’t check it until I was in the taxi and realised we had been charged $78.56 for a bar tab in a bar we didn’t even go to! It was the Mosaico bar Diner in the adjoining Indigo hotel. I immediately phoned from the taxi but after being put through there was an automated message that nobody was available to take the call. |Next, I emailed the hotel guest services three times with no reply. To make it worse, I was getting emails asking me to review my stay. I answered with low scores and requested them to contact me. I then got an email from Ashley Solino asking for further information which I replied to. I followed this email up three times as he didn’t not reply.|Next, I got a reply from my first email to customer services, after nearly two weeks, asking for me to check an attached bill. When I opened the document it was not my bill but a list of customer names that stayed in the hotel on New Year’s Eve! My stay was in March! |As I have had no replies, I now feel obliged to let people know that if you do stay at either the Atwood Suites or the Indigo Hotel check your bill carefully before check out and also there is a risk your names will be sent to another customer in another country without your knowledge!|I would have considered staying here again but after this, I will definitely not. Read moreFunctional. We were looking for a hotel with a separate living/sleep space because we were traveling with our 18 month old baby. This has a separate small living and kitchen space that provided some extra room and we were able to have dinner while baby slept in the bedroom. The room also had an extra power room which was very convenient. In that sense, it was functional and exactly what we needed. The room was ok; not beautiful, not ugly. Basic but clean. The kitchenette doesn’t have a stove or any equipment. So it’s more like a wet bar. But it is very convenient to have a small fridge and microwave when traveling with small kids. The location is perfect in Brickell. Across the street is a Publix, also very convenient. The low points for me were the included breakfast and the pool area. Breakfast was below my expectations. We’ve stayed at similar hotels in the past with better quality breakfast. Just very very basic. Scrambled eggs ok, but frozen eggs sandwiches a couple of days that were completely tasteless. Almost no fruit. Just green bananas and oranges. Coffee machine never served a decaf. Not much in terms of pastries, zero cold cuts. Just blah. If you go up 8:30ish the room they serve it is quite nice and empty. Starting at 9 its packed and things go fast. We were there for 5 nights. The third morning we checked out the spread and decided to have breakfast elsewhere. There are many options just two blocks away. The pool area lacks service and is generally underwhelming. We were there every day. We always had to call from the house phone for some one to come up with towels. It’s and ok functional pool for a quick dip. Not a resort like ambiance. No drinks, food, any service in general. The restrooms were quite clean though. The staff is courteous, efficient and knowledgeable. The valet was always super friendly and patient with us unloading a number of things. It’s OK if you want to stay in brickell, don’t want to spend a ton of money and need a few specifics for...
