As far as a Burlington stores go, this store is lovely. It offers a pretty good section of styles and sizes. I feel like it might be difficult for anyone not to at least find something they’d like to buy. The store is also clean. So, why does this store get just one star? 1) Tacky signs at the registers and throughout the store advising that there are no public bathrooms. Instead, it might be less cringe just letting those who ask know that they can use the bathrooms in the mall. Oddly enough, even if people don’t have a need for the bathroom, I feel they might after being assaulted with those signs repeatedly. 2) Processing orders for the queue was slow and inefficient. There is never a good reason that it should take an hour to checkout. Out of 10 registers, only 2 were open. After some time, someone came to help. The 2 cashiers that seemed to be the staples up there both moved very slowly. One was worst than the other with movements reminiscent of a sloth. I’ve worked in retail before and everywhere I’ve worked has trained floor associates to work the cash register as well. I’m not saying the floor associates should all come hang out at the cash wrap, but come help process the line and then go back out to the floor. The checkout process at Burlington has to be the biggest pain point when it comes to shopping there. I still remember the golden age of Burlington when shelves where fuller and staff was more plentiful. The experience is...
Read moreFirst of all. Burlington had their trial room closed. So we couldn't try any dress or clothes that we bought. We went to the location at 43756 Christy St, Fremont, CA 94538 and bought a some clothing for my wife and daughter and son (toddlers). Since they didn't have a trail room open, we bought some extra. But unfortunately some of the clothes didn't fit. So next day we went to another location 1400 Great Mall Dr, Milpitas, CA 95035. Thats where the problem started. We had all the receipts. The tags were still there. And when we tried to return the items, we were questioned for why we didn't try the clothes before returning. We told them you have closed your trial room and we are unable to try before buying. And instead of hearing us, the cashier said you should have returned the item the same store. AS PER MY KNOWLEDGE BURLINGTON RETURNS CAN BE DONE IN ANY OTHEE BURLINGTON STORE AS LONG AS YOU HAVE A RECEIPT, A TAG, AND AN UNUSED ITEM. But the behavior of that employee on that store made things worse. We had multiple other items on the cart to buy. But due to that encounter, we took our refund ( after hours of abuse) and didn't purchase any thing. She didn't have any right to abuse and tell us why we are returning items. We were able to get our money back but the experience was the worst. Never...
Read moreThe line is always long here. You will stand at least 45 minutes to an hour just waiting in line to checkout so be prepared to wait.
Also wants to talk about an incident today , one of the employees who ran me up was noticeably sick. He had a mask on & gloves, which is fine but you don’t go to work when you’re sick because you can get your coworkers and customers sick.
He then proceeded to wipe his nose right in front of me with a used tissue right before ringing me up, then he put it back in his pocket without even changing his gloves or using hand sanitizer. Mind you, he did this all in FRONT OF ME, a paying customer. I feel really grossed out by this and I wanted to change cashiers right away, but he was already touching my items. I had to disinfect everything at home. 😖
This is just gross 😷 behavior and I get that he is sick, but you can at least not do this in front of your customers especially paying customers if I had the chance I would’ve asked to switch, but it’s already too late. At least I disinfected everything, but let’s hope I don’t get sick from this employee...
