I recently attempted to return an item to the Saks Off 5th store in Milpitas, CA, well within their 30-day return policy. However, I faced a highly disappointing and frustrating experience due to the store manager's poor customer service and inconsistent reasoning.
The store manager, a lady with very short hair and brown skin, refused to process my return, citing a variety of inconsistent and invalid reasons that were not stated in the store's return policy. Initially, she claimed that the item was ineligible for return because it was missing a price tag, even though this requirement is not mentioned in the policy. She then argued that the return was not allowed because it was approaching the 30-day limit, despite the fact that I was still within the specified timeframe.
Furthermore, the manager mentioned that I had purchased the item from a different location in Livermore, which should have no bearing on the return process. When I questioned these inconsistencies, she shifted her reasoning, claiming that the item appeared to be washed and worn, which was simply not true.
Throughout this exchange, the manager's reasons for denying the return seemed to change constantly, making it clear that she was not following the store's policy and was instead making arbitrary decisions. This inconsistent and unfair treatment left me feeling extremely disappointed and disrespected.
To make matters worse, the manager escalated the situation by calling security to escort me out of the store, even though I remained calm and polite during the entire interaction. When I asked to speak with her supervisor, she claimed to be the highest authority in the store, leaving me with no recourse for resolving the issue.
Based on this experience, I strongly caution others against shopping at this Saks Off 5th location. The store manager's poor customer service, inconsistent reasoning, and disregard for the store's return policy have left a lasting negative impression on me. I hope the company takes this feedback seriously and addresses these issues to ensure fair and consistent treatment for...

Messages created false impression that you are getting your item the next day, but in reality it's around a week away.
Shipping company lost the item at the last mile. The inquiry yielded the following response:
Thank you for your patience while we look into this. Our records show that this package was successfully delivered, and our delivery partner confirmed it.
If you are still unable to locate the shipment, we recommend submitting a claim with your seller and letting them know that while the package was marked delivered, you never received it.
We sincerely apologize for your experience and will follow up with the delivery team with your feedback. Regards, Maergo Support Team
When trying to open a case with Saks OFF 5TH, their online system produced the following message (to wait another week to file a claim): To account for varied shipping times, a claim cannot be submitted until 3/17/2023.
the support chat agent came up with this proposal;
Thanks for holding! I do really apologize for this inconvenience, but the system will allow us to start the claim on 03/17, but no worries, the process of the claim is to help you with a refund process, once we initiate the claim it will take 1-3 business days to give a resolution, the refund process will take 10-14 business days to get it processed.
Actually, the order could be replaced and you can request the signature, but to replace the order you will be charged for, so for that reason, if the order is replaced you need to take into consideration that.
I'm going to follow the process and see what happens. Some reviews here mention that Saks OFF 5TH can decline the approval of your claim, so you might be out of your item, money and time.

How can they send a jacket in such a small bag? Also I went to Great mall in Milpitas to return this on September 27, 2024. Very rude manager, Black American female was so aggressive and threatened me not to take it. She refused give me her name and I said I wanted to talk to a manager and she laughed at me saying she was a manager. I didn’t even realize I was done while she was serving another customer because she didn’t even pack the jacket again. So I asked her to pack it again but she didn’t do it sarcastically because she didn’t open it?? ( Then who??) I asked her name again but she stared at me and kept asking what that was for and why. I have the right to report her bad attitude to the customer! So I asked another cashier and the black female manager yelled at her not to. Don’t shop at here. Also Bad return system at Saks Fifth Avenue too. Can you imagine if I have to make an appointment to return? So funny, And Bye...
