On May 30th, I had an interaction with Nyeli at the Planet Fitness location -101 W Wisconsin Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53203- where Nyeli serves as the manager. Throughout our conversation, Nyeli's attitude towards me was notably passive-aggressive, which is highly unprofessional for someone in a managerial position. Nyeli's behavior not only created an uncomfortable atmosphere but also failed to uphold the values of respect and inclusivity that Planet Fitness stands for.
Furthermore, I was taken aback by the judgmental comment Nyeli made regarding the size of individuals she had seen in comparison to myself and my friend. Such comments not only reflect a lack of professionalism but also go against the core principles of Planet Fitness, which promote a judgment-free zone where all members are encouraged to work towards their fitness goals without fear of criticism or prejudice.

However, I regret to say that my encounters with Manager Nayeli have been far from satisfactory.
Not only have I personally experienced unprofessional behavior from Manager Nayeli, but she also took it upon herself to target and ban my friend. This action was solely based on her emotions and not on any actual misconduct or violation of the gym's policies. Instead of attempting to defuse the situation and take the higher road, Manager Nayeli continued to escalate the conversation, disregarding any sense of fairness.

Read moreI was an Xperience fitness member that had my membership automatically rolled over to Planet Fitness when they bought my gym. I was told my several staff, at two different locations (called to confirm accuracy of info I was told) that Xperience Fitness members would get a free month with Planet Fitness while they choose if they will continue being members of the gym. We had until August 17th to either cancel or choose a Planet Fitness package or we will be charged the Xperience Fitness rate we had when they closed. As a car-less individual, both closest PF gyms are a significant bus ride away, though I made the trek to at least try out the downtown PF. Several days later, while checking my credit card statement, I see a pending charge from PF for next month's dues. We hadn't even hit August yet and I had never confirmed continuing with the gym.
You can imagine what happens next- the endless rounds of calling and speaking to clueless staff and a manager that is never available. I was told by one staff that I had to come in person to address it when the manager was available between 8am-4pm- exactly most people's work hours. UTTERLY RIDICULOUS. I had to contact my credit card company to file a dispute. The dispute when through and a charge back was issued, only for PF to charge me AGAIN with an added late fee. Had to take a half-day off from work to go figure out out in person. The only redeeming interaction was with staff person Robert who quickly waived all of the fees and cancelled the membership I never consented to. PF told clients that they had until mid August to choose then snuck in a membership charge in July and made it difficult to get it resolved.
