The American hamburger was okay, I've had better. Although a decent size patty, the bun was too much and wiped out the meat. The bun was fine just too much bread for a single patty. If you want to taste the patty order the double patty burger. (Note: came in to order 5 double patty burgers just to find a dbl is not longer offered, I went to another local for the burgers) The tomato, lettuce & onion garnish were garden fresh. I asked for no "special sauce" hence the ketchup & mustard. Your choice of chips or potato salad. The only flavor in the potato salad was the sweet relish. There are good potato salad recipes, Mundos needs to dump this one & be creative. My wife had the California chicken sandwich. She enjoyed the bread being crisp on the outside & soft on the inside. An ample amount of fresh vegetables with a tasty but rather thin sampling of over-cooked chicken. She did enjoy the house chipotle sauce. The service was good & the food arrived hot. The atmosphere is very plain. For beverages there's no soda machine only canned selections. The bathroom was clean. My recommendation is, if you order a burger...
Read moreMy rating here is based on the service, not the food. If I were to just rate my sandwich - it will be 4 stars at least although I didn't get what I ordered (Argentinian pork but recd. Mundos pork sandwich) . The sandwich was quite delicious so I didn’t mind not getting my chimichurri fix.
The girl on the register was not pleasant at all but after watching her demeanor with another eat in customer (really friendly), it almost felt as if she had bias against me and my hubby. Her body language, lack of smile and basic courtesy (asking for water) etc was completely missing and she was sort of hostile towards us. My husband, who doesn’t usually pay mind to these things, was also quite taken aback. I kept on trying to remain polite, and smiled at her despite lack of response. I didn’t want to create a scene at the shop and given the tough circumstances, especially for restaurant industry, did my bit by giving a nice tip as well.
The food is genuinely good but after today, I am not sure if I would go to Webster Street...
Read moreFirst time customer. Firstly the food, probably the best takeout sandwichs my family and I have ever had. When asked to explain by those not there to enjoy the experience, following description given. A) these were sandwiches with structure. The bread (I had ciabatta, others had sourdough) was robust, crusty and chewy on the inside. No taking a bite and having the filling fall out the other side. B) the ingredients were fresh and yummy, the meat was sliced more on the thicker side and much appreciated by the carnivores in our group. C) the flavored mayo/spread they used was delicious and a compliment to the sandwich. Seasoning perfect. D) We actually forgot our drinks and was pleasantly surprised to see the price charged back onto our card that evening. E) The best sandwiches to enjoy on a picnic on the beach, which we did. Best sandwiches ever....
